Great video and great personality. Only thing I would add is that you boil the water first and cool it if it's tap water because you want to kill as much chloride/chlorine as possible. Pineapple beer is the fastest and strongest because the pineapple skins have their own special yeast!
Thanks for the feedback and knowledge-drop! The pineapple skin thing makes sense, because I tried apple-cider as well and it wasn't as potent. Will boil next time as it seems we all be locked down for a while😣
I think it's because it didn't include yeast. That was the major difference in the recipes. (Only other difference was that it includes ginger) It was very nice tasting though.

love your video and your generous humour, fantastic,i followed your recipe for the pineapple beer and it was good, but on my second batch I boiled the pineapple with the sugar for about 20 mins then cooled to room temp then added the yeast and what a difference it made, so much more flavour and oh my goodness so much stronger, give it a bash, keep going with videos, love them
I did the same but used the Instructables recipie, South African guy has one. You will recognize it because of the sugar packets and yeast packets in picture. Had a real wallop.
Certain fruits such as pineapple and most berries come out a little sweeter after cooking. Otherwise, cooking generally changes the flavour of fruits. If you are using yeast, there is no need to keep the skin. Just coarsely grind the pineapple in a blender and mix it with water. You will extract more flavours this way.
Our GOD send Angel, here is some feedback..Made mine saterday,I added 4appels with your recipe, only difference is I boiled my water.O my sister,it's day 3 and LORD did it brew,I took a long tube pipe did sanitise....lol.and test it.It's manna from heaven my sister, only day 3...don't know if you gonna hear from me after day 5'????May GOD shine all his wonderful blessings upon you.THANK you form the bottom of my heart.
This recipe is fine, but the concoction does not like o2. You have to seal the container. Best way is to drill a hole in the lid if the container. Run a tube through the hole into a jar half full of water and let the tube be under the water. This lets the concoction give off c02 without the risk of explosion. Its a airlock.
hey so what is that pipe, where can i get a pipe at the supermarkets, cause i just haven't got something lying around. And with the supermarkets blocking off certain areas, and hardware stores are closed, i have been going up and down the miles looking for alternatives. bicycle tyre? Garden hosepipe? Long skinny balloon? grrr i am stumped.
You can use a Coke or any carbonated beverage bottle, leave a little headroom, and release the CO2 by loosening the cap every 4-5 hours or leave the cap little loose.
Hi, I made mine on Saturday past. Then 5 days later i did a taste test. I reduced the sugar to 4 cups/1kg as i didn't want it too sweet. And used a packet of yeast which is 10g.The flavour is nice like pineapple cocktail. It gives you a feeling of being tipsy as it smells stronger than what it tastes. Once you put it into the fridge it will taste better but the alcohol dissolves. For the alchoholic level its on a Smirnoff Spin or Storm level. I am a Gin drinker so i like my drink strong. But this will tie me over for the time being. I also tried a glass with a shot of potato vodka then all i could say afterwards was Ama-ten-cents! 🥴🤭
@Raul Raffie, I drank it yesterday bro and it is awesome. The first drink tasted like gin and something. When I got drunk the taste become similar to some type of mexican beer which is dope. Anyway, this is full proof that it does get intoxicated. Well it gets you drunk quickly but it is very cool. I am still enjoying it, I made 5litres. Thank you alot @Reality with Zee you really helped me on this one. No one lockdown shall prosper. Dropped a like and a subscribe, thank you
You can boil the pineapple skins to extract the sugars and juice and then add yeast to it as well. The liquid will ferment very quickly. I like your idea of using a tub to ferment. Going to look for some now to make a BIG BATCH!
Just to add to this great recipe for those looking for a more fizzy drink with a little extra kick. If thats you then you should rather add more sugar for the yeast to eat up and leave it slightly longer say 7 or 8 days instead of 5 and if you want it to be fizzy just add about a teaspoon of sugar into each bottle you are going to be decanting into then seal/close it and leave it for 24 hours in a warm dark place then make sure to put the bottles in the fridge after the 24 hours to kill the yeast otherwise the bottles will explode if it continues fermenting. VOILLA you have Savanna dry or old smirnoff storm level drunkness. By the way love your channel Zee.

So for color, you can let it sit for another week or so to clear on its own, or you can use - Bentonite - clearing agent. Use that 24hrs later it's clear to go and enjoy :)

I just made mine. I added a small bark of cinnamon to it for flavor. I read in the comments that someone boiled the pineapple and sugar water and then added in the yeast once it cooled. Gonna try that next time! Do you think 4 days is big difference from 5 because I wanna share this drink with my date. Today is Tuesday and I wanna drink it on Saturday 🤔🧐
