People whining about the bezels being too thick. Most people in France got themselves an iPhone 11, 12, or 13 from the second hand. And when you see the bezels on iPhone 11, I can guarantee you that the ones in A55 are actually smaller. Besides, you will put a screen protector and a case on your phone anyway, so the bezels won't be that noticeable. Personally, I have my S21FE, and the screen protector size was always a challenge for me, because the bezels are so thin that the screen protector is hardly fitting the screen dimensions to protect it wholly So, I don't mind having a little bit larger bezels and to be able to fit my screen protector better.
I bought this phone for my son last week for a bargain price at Amazon UK and it’s a solid device. He plays Roblox, does video calls etc and so far no heating issues. The edges are sharp but the first thing I did as he unboxed it was to apply a screen protector and put it in a case anyway. It has many of the flagship features except for AI. I’ve heard that the camera isn’t amazing but we haven’t tried taking photos with it yet, he isn’t keen on cameras anyway so it wasn’t a problem for us. Also, I fiddled with my mum’s A54 for a couple of weeks and I noticed a considerable improvement with the A55, the older one is very sluggish and the price difference isn’t great to justify getting last years model (it was £230 vs £265). I’d highly recommend this phone if you can find it for under £300.
I see these videos of people talking about how you can get a better phone for the same price, but then you go and look and they just do not have an expandable storage option. No SD card slot on almost any phones today
S23FE doesn't have one, the 12R doesn't. Even thought the Moto G Power does, I don't like thr fact that you're not sure if your phone is even going to get software updates the next year.
Agree. The bezels won't bother me because I usually have thick border case anyways. It's the Micro SD slot for me and staying in Samsung platform is a what I wanted. The new Samsung flagship phones has no micro SD slot and that's why I have been with my s20 for all these years.
You can from time to time. Batteries do not like being at 100% or 0% for long periods. It is optimal at 80-85%. @@GeraldoGomes-et7mr Lithium batteries degrade faster when completing full charging cycles, your device's battery will die faster if you deplete the charge to 5% and charge it back to 100%, it will be more comfortable for the battery to be charged within 60-80% range, tho you should still allow it to charge to 100% from time to time to avoid uneven cell degradation, also avoiding prolonged heat exposure, either from charging or merely the environment temperature but that's about it, this is optimal for battery life, not mandatory but if you wanna make it last as long as possible it's how you do.

If you're coming from an iPhone, I suggest going straight for the S24 or S24U to really see how far Android flagship phones have come. I feel like the misconception that Android is laggy compared to iPhone starts here, because typically, those coming from iPhone pick up lower or cheaper Android models. You'll appreciate Android if you experience the flagship and premium experience. But if budget is an issue and you don't need a fancy phone, the A55 5G is okay. However, you might also want to try the S23 or S22, which might now be as affordable as the new A55.

My only problem on my samsung A 55 is the front cam my face is dull
lol charger costs 10--15 USD, and iPhone does not have it for ages as well, you are ridiculous. Wireless charging is gimmick in mid-range phones.
Does it have green line ussues? Like the S series?
Please I want to know about honor x9c what is your comment?
I'm getting this because it's definitely an upgrade from my s20. I like the Samsung OS systems and features AAAAND it still has micro SD card slot expansion. Micro SD slot is always a make it a break it deal for me. I never went above the S20 because of no micro SD.
No s20 is better. Better screen, camera, connectivity hardware, gaming performance. Don't scam yourself. Cloud storage is cheap
@bignoob2726 at this point the A55 is the better choice. If I am not mistaken the s20 will not get anymore security upgrades. I have both phones on my hands. The A55 keeps up with the s20 as far as speed and battery life is a lot better.
£289 in the UK.
On sale though, actual price is £439
@@alienbsg yeah, 289 is the price I bought it for and the only price I would!
I think youre mainly mad because its not in the usa bc you named the problems with the phone that actualy every evey single new phone has the same issue no matter the price
Look, if any of my cons don't affect you then don't let me stop you from having a good time. I'm happy you enjoy it 😀
A question foe A55 users:
Does the issue with green lines also apply to these specific models?
No
To every annoyed person : Calm down, he has done many videos highlighting the positives of this phone, which was really good... This specific video gives all the negatives... Educating us on both perspectives.
watching fro my samsung a55 5g😂
When I found out about the OnePlus 12r this phone was off the list for me. Honestly the 12r is the best device you can get for that price
The 12R really is a crazy device!
OppoPlus 12R is double the price and it's not better
😂😂😂 there is nothing wrong with this phone men what are u saying
Guys now i have second thought so i need your guys opinion, what should i actually this a55 or redmi note 13 pro plus??
If this device is not good. Please recommend a good A series device to buy without s series
Got my a55 for 340$ For this price its okay i guess
Does is work on Verizon network
Not many phones come with headphone jacks anymore. 😂
The processor is no laggard. It's fast and smooth with the latest updates! Even popular games can be played at high frame rates.
It still costs USD$475 here in the Philippines.
Does anyone have the Latin American variant if so how does it perform on your network
271 euro for the 256 Gb and a micro sd slot, was q no bruiner. Great phone.
got it for 190$. for that price it is outstanding
no headphone jack is the only thing keeping it from being perfect.
What will the import taxes be if imported into the usa from england?
$1,500
@@zoomhardin🤣🤣🤣
Just ordered it in Mexico for $300. I will still use my iPhone, but it’s a good battery saver.
A series are mid range devices stop lying to us how do you expect premium features in a midrange phone
Have you seen what other mid rangers at this price can do? It struggles running codm at very high graphics max frame rate and that's embarrassing for a 2024 midranger
Well i found your 10 reasons very funny. Most of them are not relevant actual,
Well I just bought A55 in the month when they have freebies and it has free 25w chager with free galaxy buds fe, I can say its worth the price😁❤️
Hello. ❤ Could you be kind and explain to me why the battery on this model lasts barely 2 days during a normal using (it means no games no too many youtube ...) and before it I had a52s which is old model now I could not to charge my phone sometimes for 4 days. I just dont get it. 😂
Better display, more demanding chipset all drain battery faster, cause battery barely changed since then from 4500 mAh to 5000 mAh thats why
@@ArtThouLivid Thank you for an explanation. ✌🏻
You can get these 300 euro In Ireland brand new and unlocked... For that price it's a great device
The a55 is the a54 with just a new look and a slightly improved chipset but which doesn't bring much to the features.
Hello sir pls tell me whether is it possible to connect type c to 3.5 mm jack connector and use our normal earphones ? Pls reply sir
yes u can
@Ariel-om5fh no
Just use an adapter.
No, you cannot. I have bought an adapter long ago but most phones seem to not recognize my headphones.
Haven't even got a55 5g but certainly wouldn't be put off buying it after listening to this sour grapes video. Pathetic reasoning
Bruh for the 10 th reason does not make sense. Its a series, what u expect bruh with its reasonable price
Oneplus 12r has very good specs, but there's a lot of issues that make it a bad choice! You can find it in the Oneplus community, and the support team is OK, not good, but the samsung team is the best, I think that, and I was between 12r and a55. Finally, I preferred a55 because of that.
What phone would you rather have, Samsung A55 or OnePlus 12R? It's pretty much a no brainer.
Samsung A55
@@karennewcombe5334 NEVER SETTLE.
Seriously? 1+12r
@@karennewcombe5334hell no, A55 is basically a scam in 2024 that's e-waste
Is that even a question? Of course the 12R
I am literally crying for when I buy later about galaxy a55 ( please give me something useful about the A series)
Whatever, i bought it and loved it
Very great for daily use like for students and online workers 👍
Edit: i am only comment box guy
Did you get the foreign version

i have a question i wil change my iphone xs into a samsung but i dont know if i should get the a55 or the s24. i like the AI things but those are not crucial.bdw i have small hands(should i spend more money for the size or shold i sacrifice the comfort of my everyday phone for saving some money)(im planing on keeping this phone like 4-5 years so consider that i your response) thanks
S24 for sure
I have plan also to buy Samsung phone.a55 is enough for me
If you're gonna keep it 4-5 years you BETTER get the S24 this junk won't even last that long TRUST Me!
A55 should suffice tbh.
RUclips reality
Every video of reasons not to buy : display is dimm . Brightness low. Display settings standard
Every video of reason to buy : diaplay brightness 100% and vivid settings

No charger = for the environment. But these makers then proceed to release lots of units yearly. 😂
Then dont use that phone instead give that phone who in needs. If you dont like the phone then dont buy it. Samsung did not ask you to buy that LOLS
Dude I review phones for this exact reason 😂. I've been doing this for almost a decade now
Well said. You can't satisfy all the people all the time. What a lame haberdash! In who's pay are you?
Wag ka magkalat dito aso ka, apaka peenoise ng "give it those who are in need" asong aso ang asal
Samsung A35 any good?
Yup, overall a solid phone!
pro tip if you can get the A55 it would be a better overall phone after testing the camera and the phone in general the software is less laggy than A35 and the camera is better
Get a 1+ anything 😂 these mid-rangers suck ass from Samsung
Yes! 🥰
I have the A55 and i like it.But I excepted more AI feautures like samsung S series😢😢
Iam using this phone and its really nice
Or better get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 pro+ 5g
Bezels aren`t thick, never seen a tablet 😂 No charger delivered at any phone, so why are those a reason 😅
A52 looks way better than this phone. The rounded corners look ugly. at 2:48
Watching this video in same color option ❤ awesome lilac
main reason is that you cant afford it period
lmaooo
Lol. This POS already lost 30%-40% of its value just a month after launch. Stopped shilling for this after seeing how ugly the screen is. 😂
You are reaching man😂
Mere pass sumsung a33 5g hai mera phone heat hota hai tb 5g hat jata hai jab tak thanda na karu 5g nahi lagta bahut problem hai
If you play games dont buy this phone cuz its got a screen problem/screen touch, so basically if you fps shooting game its very bag cuz if u use more than 2 finger ur aim goes up

@@TechRightwhat's the good thing about Samsung is that it provides 4 more years of Software support and updates and 5 yrs security patches compared to other brands.
Reason: not future proof. This is like Samsung J7 Prime thats overhyped
Future proof meaning the next few years. Obviously not forwver
Guys😂 first reason is it's not lunch in United states of america 🤦😂 i don't know what gonna be next 9 reasons
can't you lot ever say USA instead of united states of America ! ! ! or just America.
Why does that bother you? 🧐
The build is way better and the processor smoother and faster than the A54's
You can't even see the difference ok it is smoother it has the same fps same refresh rate it's almost like the a54 1480 and 1380 are almost the same
Well, US banned huawei do not cry for a55.that's what you get when you bann Huawei . Great video
