She found a way to make it entertaining but realistically you CAN simply turn off superchats on a stream at any time you want. I follow several RUclips streamers who put on daily shows and in order to keep them to within a certain length they turn off superchats once they've reached a certain amount that they know they can get to in an episode. So you either go this route or you do what many of the girls do and just store up unread superchats and do separate streams to catch up on them.
This would also ensure viewer longevity, since they'll have more motivation to the next stream to give superchat.
Which is nice for both the viewer and the streamer, though everyone's milage may vary.
Since Hololive takes a cut of superchats, it's possible that they don't allow streamers to turn them off.
