This is very relatable. Not the "having people commit to me" part, but the "needing to record everything because I have a terrible memory" part.
As a person with selectively accurate memory, this hits hard. I've adopted handwriting notes at work for everything because I can't trust the consistency of what I remember.
@GoodOleDFT For me, taking notes usually doesn't work. I can never shorten information in ways that are useful and/or coherent, and I write/type way too slow to do accurate transcriptions.
@otaking3582 There are really good ways to do shorthand that you can learn. For example, I can shorthand your comment in a way that makes it easier to keep up.

I think there's generally a booth for the fan to sit in with a camera so they can see the fan and a screen to display their avatar.
You talk to a tablet or PC monitor.
