You have come to C that C is not as good as a B flat can B. I prefer the tall bell 2341 like my late 90's horn, but these play really good. Agreed on all points made. The prototypes of these from 99'-2003 ish from King were the best until they switched things up.
@@frednich9603 I often think mine are too long and perhaps overly detailed for what people come to see. Yours, however, is concise, to the point, contains pertinent and interesting information, leaves me wanting more (but not too much), and you have an easy, natural delivery. Similar to your other videos, and that is a good thing. 👍🏼 Now you just need to buy more tubas to have more unboxing videos!
Great review. I’m interested to see if you feel the same way in 6 months or so after you live with it a while. The schools I know that got the Eastman when they first came out are having valve issues now, but I understand that issue has been addressed with the newer models. How is the weight compared to the Kings?
Weight wise it's about the same, but it feels more solid. As far as the valves go, I think Chinese pistons as a whole are better than Chinese rotors. I've always been a rotor guy, but I'm trying this one out this time
