Is Morocco Really A Tourist's Nightmare? (

  • Morocco. North Africa. I had been looking forward to this trip for awhile, and I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed. I tried to learn Arabic more than a decade ago back when I lived in Lebanon, but what little I remembered didn’t seem to help much here! Morocco was the land of the Berbers, and this would be a whole new adventure.
I decided to start my journey in the most Moroccan city of them all: Fez, a city famous for it’s huge classical medina market area. Of course, I’m not very good at being a conventional tourist, so I decided to wander off the market path in search of Mahia, a local Jewish Moroccan moonshine. And my strategy for avoiding hustlers…well, how often do they see a foreigner speaking to them in Darija, eh? Yalla!

Back in Africa! And back to the main storyline of this channel, which seems to be bonding with locals over their local agricultural goods. Much more to come in the weeks ahead, yalla.

Ends right before Sabbatical is taken down an alley and presented with two options - your money or your life! Love the casual aimless strolls man! Life's taking you by the finger and you're just letting it lead the way - keep 'em coming

Careful brother with the kif kif and hashish offerings. I was 19 years old traveling in the Atlas mountains of Ketama, the year 1971. Long story short I turned 20 at Nador Civil Prison. My most memorable birthday to date, 5 decades later. I am sure much has changed since the days of king Hassan, but prudence is recommended. Always enjoy your content !!!

I know this might have been said already, but I really appreciate the lack of overlaid music in your videos. Gives it a more raw feel. Some travel youtubers overdo it with the music.

I visited Morocco over 20 years ago and this really nice guy working in my hotel gave me (yes gave me) an enormous lump of the finest kinda honey-like hash saying ‘just so you aren’t tempted to try buying any down at the beach as they work with the police in stinging tourists down there.’

as someone who speaks French, seeing Tom speaking both Arabic (I don't speak it, but I trust he got by because the locals understood him) AND French, on top of all the other languages he previously spoke in his videos is crazy! I feel motivated to learn more languages now haha

Wooow Sabbatical is a language genius. Look how he reads the arabic with perfect pronounciation. Thats something a lot of non arab muslims struggle to do.
