We Saved Their Lives! | Cleaning "Pasty Butt" on Our Baby Chicks

One of the reasons some chicks don't make it to adulthood is they develop "pasty butt" - a condition where poop builds up and blocks their vent, preventing them from eliminating, and therefore building up toxic waste inside their tiny bodies. It's important to safely and gently remove this crusty build up of poop, so that their vents are clear, and they can eliminate their waste. In this video, I show you how we cleaned 2 of our chicks with pasty butt.
