Yes that was Miyu sweep picking with his thumb. This is a bit ago. All these songs are pretty much completely written. They are all on their albums. They all improvise a bit but they are largely the same every time they are played. So they are not really jamming.

MIYU plays a 4, 5 or 7 stringed bass, depending on the song.
