- II in the Ottoman Palace Cuisine. Honey Mahmudiye, known as Mahmut's favorite dish and hence its name, is among the indispensable winter dishes of Topkapı Palace. It first appeared in a banquet menu dated 1539 at the Edirne Palace.
For this interesting and must-try recipe 👇🏻
🟡 INGREDIENTS
Chicken meat, half breast, half leg, total (500 g)
3 tablespoons of butter (50 g)
1 onion
Raw almonds (50 g)
Apricots (50 g)
Raisins (25 g)
Slightly less than 1 teaspoon of salt (3 g)
Half a teaspoon of black pepper (2 g)
Half a teaspoon of cinnamon (2 g)
Juice of half a lemon
Half a tablespoon of honey (10 g)
Dill for topping
🟠 PREPARATION
- Let's boil the diced chicken in hot water for 10 minutes.
- Let's add butter to the cooking pan
- Let's add the chickens to the heated butter and sauté them a little.
- Let's add the cut onions.
- Add almonds and roast a little.
- Add the apricots and raisins.
- Add salt and pepper and continue cooking.
- Let's add cinnamon when it's almost cooked.
- Add lemon juice if desired
- Just before serving, add honey and cook for 1 more minute.
- Sprinkle dill on top if desired and our dish is ready to serve.

Bună seara , d- le ! Aproape totul este bine însă , mierea pusă la temperatura de peste 35-40 grade DEVINE TOXICĂ ! Vă rog să folosiți în momentul răcirii sau înlocuiți cu un zahăr brut , melasă sau îndulcitor de ștevie . Păcat !
Nu a existat nici un caz de otrăvire cu acest aliment de 500 de ani 😄
