thanks for this very nice review and your delightful demonstration. I've been a Roland fan for my whole life, but now making a decision that I want to think through the RP107, KDP120 or YDP145 I only will but something with a bluetooth midi capability. Any thoughts from others will be appreciated.
Same, PHA 4 Action. I would aim for RP 107 - triple pedal, whole piano cabinet. With BMC chip, and exact same action, rp107 looks the best in its category :)
I dont believe the rp102 works with the new Roland Piano app, if that's something you're interested in! Also, the newer models have a new chipset, so I imagine better sound modeling? Might have to wait for Merriam to do a full review. Not sure where you're finding an rp102 for $560! Used? Prices for a new 102 are closer to $1000 as far as I've seen. Which isn't far off from a new rp107 or f107.
@@knob2974 Thanks! Got the rp102 at an excellent price so I cannot complain...the sound is great. Built quality of the furniture part of the piano needs some room for improvement. But it will suffice for my 7 year old for the time being.
Roland quality is suck, the wood will peal up overtime. Roland app can only support android, iphone and ipad but not pc and macbook. The only thing i like is the keyboard, Top on the line =))
Never in my life have I ever seen such a great first impression video of a piano by a pianist. Thank you.
Hoping that someday I can afford to buy that kind of piano I really love to sing while playing piano..here in Philippines..
I believe in you Maria. You will someday!
@@petermartin7885 thanks..I hope so!!!
Truly inspiring. Nice t shirt!

Roland FP30x , F107, F701 which one better for kids to practice?

@@MattJ-n8nhow abaout rp102 ?
"Sounds really good."
It does! 😁
Great video
Is the sound from line out or internal speakers?
Can someone tell me the name of the piece at 1:45
are you playing the 12 Watt version?
Hey, where’s Rudy?
I think the attack is so aggressive for classical music, the sound is harsh.
Is the rp102 still a good buy? $560 vs $1000 for an rp107. For a beginner.. thanks!

Better than the Kawai kdp 120?
No
Alas, its sound far from an acoustic piano, it has a lot of metal echoes subsounds...disappointed of this model

Excuse me Sir, but for my information, what parts of the piano are made of wood ? Thanks. Regards.
Really? My Roland is 30 years old and still sounds fantastic
Ha! The circle is now complete. A 2022 digital piano looks like one from late 80's and early 90's. Sounds better though. 😉
