Your like me , cant do a break job without removing rust and painting the calipers. If I take something apart it goes back together clean . Great progress. Definitely subbing
I'm using the Scarebird brackets as well, great product! I'm using 97 integra calipers and rotors tho, I dont think I needed to grind anything. Good stuff, subscribed!
Love watching your videos man! Can you say what size sockets youre using throughout your work? Love your content, your videos have helped me with my 1991, love your attention to detail. Keep those videos coming! ha.
@@crxseth ok thanks! It's been over a month I'm waiting for EF PARTS rear disc brake swap brackets to come in. They still haven't shipped... Would you know if their kit is any good?? I'm considering of canceling my order with EF PARTS and going for the scarebird kit.
@@crxsethwhere those both DA front and rear calipers or just DA rears and stick CRX front? I know this is 3 years later but how did the Scarebird conversion work? Also was there a 4040 proportioning valve on this CRX?
@@Athon08 The front brakes were stock Si brakes to my knowledge. The rear were most likely DA brakes. They needed a spacer to fit right, so it’s important to get the caliper centered on the rotor. I think the new owner of this car said the spacer I had used was slightly off center causing uneven wear. The brackets work great but you’ll still need to source e-brake cables somehow.
Hey man! Just a quick question, if this was an “SI” and already had rear disc brakes. What was the reason to use this conversion kit? Also I know you used CRX SI rear calipers but do you know what other options are besides the recommended “97 Integra” ? Also now that you drove the car how does it feel ? Just ordered me a kit and I’m very excited.
Mainly because I wanted the 90-91 Si trailing arms for my car to be more OEM. Mine had DA trailing arms that changed the width of the rear, so that’s why I swapped them on my car and used 88 CRX arms with brackets on this silver car.
Glad i got to help with the rotors, wish I had the patience to set up video of all the stuff I work on

Love this channel, considering a CRX a little more with each update

Probably one of a few guys that would sand the pads putting them back in.
👍👍👍👍👍

@@crxseth hey thanks a lot that will help me with my project.going to buy a set now. Man if I had the money I would buy that silver one .

@@crxseth Thanks!
Would you know if this kit would work with a 1988 Honda CRX Si (Canadian model)?
Yes. It would work.

What rotors are on the silver crx?!
Nice work
Did you need to switch to a 40/40 prop valve?
No.
are you going to keep your silver crx stock like your black or you going to modifiet
what size washers did you buy... and how many?
I just used ones I had laying around so I’m not sure what they were. It’s been a couple years.

@@Athon08 I didn’t check the prop valve to know for sure. The 1725 valve works fine.
@@crxseth so the stock CRX Si e-brake cables won’t work?
Did you go with 97 integra rear calipers?
The calipers are off a 90-91 CRX Si.
Cant find 91 Si parking brake cables.
What calibers did you use for the video
They were already on the car, but I think they were 90-91 CRX Si rear discs.
And you ran the e brake line onto those
Found you through DBG... Shameless plug but maybe you'll enjoy my CRX videos as well. Don't watch the earlier ones, they're horrible horrible lol

I believe you can use nearly any of the 90-00 Civic/DelSol/Integra rear disc calipers.
