books after the author got his injury just started to get really confusing and the entire story just kinda got wrenched away from the original plot. still love it though
absolute nostalgia trip ive gotta reread this series. Trellis and Nate were my favorite characters. (Gabilan was good too, just underused) Also a Netflix adaptation is happening. Oh No.
i reread it all in one day because of the first video lol but by the end most of the main characters just get tossed aside, only showing up one or two times in the last few books. it pretty sad
@@lium24 yeah… it’s sad, the author got bacterial insomnia after a major car crash, and forgot most of his plans for the story. So much was lost. But at least it’s all here, at least it wasn’t abandoned.
I am someone who read the whole series and the whole book collection. I may not have liked how it ended, but this series brings me a lot of joy. like this guy who was making this almost died of bacterial meningitis while in the making of this series, and is still feeling the side affects of it.
I remember reading this series a couple years ago in lockdown after remembering how good this series was, and I was so disappointed that the eighth book left on a cliff hanger as I thought it was the final one, and even tried looking into the depths of the internet to find information on when the ninth was coming out. Now it’s here, and let’s hope it’s the last one before I reread the entire series again, otherwise in the next four years when it’s released i’ll have to reread the series for a third time lol.
Yeah, it's pretty bad. Especially the part where the true evil behind everything is a bunch of adorable robots that might be from the past, or the future, or a parallel timeline or universe... Honestly, I feel the story started going downhill with the introduction of the heavier sci-fi elements that's Navin's storyline was so focused on. Also doesn't help that two of the story's most interesting villains (Max and the Elf King) were effectively dropped from the story.

maybe this was why Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn trilogy appealed to me...both had a cool and badass girl as the main character, learning how to control and adapt to their power 😭

Amulet and Percy Jackson molded my childhood specifically among other books, just two works of art.
