Those mini kimbaps are called mayak kimbap (drug kimbap). The proper kimbaps are much larger, have more filling (such as spinach, carrots, radish, egg and ham) and they are available in different varieties to suit anyone's taste preference. And yes, there are versions with meat in them (beef, pork, ham, tuna, etc). Also, the 'Korean' taste that you mention is probably sesame seed oil. Koreans use it to season many different vegetable side dishes including the fillings in the kimbap. The oil is also spread on the seaweed to flavor and provide a shine to the kimbap.

those mini kimbabs usually come with a mustard dipping sauce, which is what makes them 'addictive'. i'm not sure if the lady forgot, or if its something you have to ask for. a typical kimbab is much larger, has lots more vegetables, and usually has meat in them, such as ham, tuna, beef etc.

Oh the mustard dipping sauce sounds great! I love mustard. Also I think I’d definitely prefer them with some sort of meat ☺️

Namdaemun means a large gate to the south. In fact, the Korean language was also influenced by the Chinese character culture, so it is easy to understand if you know a lot of Chinese characters.

The main reason why Koreans do not speak much English can be traced to many cultural, educational and historical factors. Here are some reasons that could explain this:
    1. Education system: In the educational process in Korea, English is often only considered a very important subject, but not necessarily a second language. Meanwhile, in some other countries, learning English can be considered an important part of basic and compulsory education.
    2. Influence of other international languages: Koreans may focus more on learning Japanese or Chinese rather than English, because these two countries have closer ties to Korea Kingdom from historical and commercial relations.
    3. Work and social environment: Some occupations, especially those focused on the domestic market, may not require English as a requirement

A bloke in a yellow outfit was having a go at people, telling them off loudly as he walked by. He’s a Christian, yelling for people to repent their sins before God. Doesn’t seem like the most effective way to spread the word, does it?
