We took a look at the Savage Axis 6.5 Creedmoor. I really enjoy this rifle and it has brought me tons of success hunting. I suggest y'all take a look into this rifle and try it for yourself!

Hey I have that exact gun and I experience the same issue with the bolt, my cousin has the same one too and it's also heavy bolt lift. I'm not trying to sell you nothing but I just bought a bolt lift kit for it, $21 or something like that. It works wonders for it. Look up bolt lift kit for savage axis and there are RUclips videos by a guy who sells them and shows you how to install them.
Grimstod desh is the username for his RUclips, he shows you how it works and it's super simple, took me like 10mins to do (after initially loosening the bolt screw which was on there really good).
@@phyconingaI just purchased the lift kit, and it’s definitely worth the money.
I just bought one yesterday. I did notice the bolt sticking a bit also. Nice video.
I see others have had feeding issues with the bolt same as mine. I have the model 110 in 6.5 creedmoor but I've had similar issues with another Savage chambered in .223. Im having another issue with the 110 as well. Has anyone else had an issue where it feeds and you're able to lock the bolt down but it doesn't fire when you pull the trigger. Ik it's not an issue with the ammo because if you eject the round load it again it'll fire the second time.
I was having a hard time ejecting bullets it was jamming the bolt wouldent pull back I found there was a couple little barbs or gauges in the chamber I filed it it all smooth now it's ejecting like it should
Have the same in 223 shoots MOA or better all day (5shot groups)
I think the scope have a problem all target right place but consistent shot is good maybe shooter have problems try again later to show it in 00site maybe on your finger tips had a mistake but great the bullet in one location means the barrel is great in five shot consistent the target point.
Mine too has a stubborn bolt....I'm gonna try a bolt knob attachment...
Former Marine here weighing in... You just need to work the bolt in dozens of times and it will be fine.... It's like that with most rifles some people will tell you need to shoot the rounds really you just need to work the bolt and oil it up, and then it will be smooth I guarantee it
@@harrydick3300 thank you,it's new..haven't even fired it yet..
Great gun powerful good for long-distance site so great.
Just put an Arken ep5 on that rifle and also your scope is really high .I’m my savage axis 2xp I put an oryx chassis on it and looks amazing
I noticed the scope being high from the start, plus no need to be using see-thru rings on a rifle with no open sights, also you might want to pair that leupold scope with leupold bases and rings for a solid setup.
Save the brass and handload a nosler partition bullet of at least 150 grains. Bullet construction supercedes bc coefficient . Entry wounds accompanied by an exit wound are key in finding deer . The 6.5 craze is well founded by years of results. Just keep things in relevant context. Handloading and proper ranges is key.
Take your time a bit more. Breathing and trigger pull work together. You can make those shots at 1000 yards. ❤ thanks for the video young man.
Your bipod looks backwards
This good for roster thief for roster have farm this great country.
Is the 6.5 the same has the 30-06
No...different bullet...
