Now, Richard, it really doesn’t seem wholesome to appear threatened by diversity training; lighten up and let the sun ☀️ shine in! Perhaps it might be better to refer to it as cross cultural training? In the Foreign Service it’s mandatory and helps eliminate a lot of unnecessary barriers and errors.
Just because you all have been dissing Catherine and underestimating her for years, doesn’t mean the rest of us have. I remember reading an article years ago when they interviewed the woman in South America who ran a “camp” that Catherine attended in her gap year, and she described Catherine as having a special quality about her and a quiet confidence that was very appealing and inspiring. Catherine is no doormat. William would never marry one. Even he said she had a wonderful “naughty sense of humor.” She’s got a spine, a brain, and a wonderful engaging personality. And she’s clearly very loving and loyal. William is so lucky she married him.

Personally, I agree with Richard. In my opinion, diversity training is mostly unnecessary, when the truth is, we are all more alike then we are differen. Recognizing our similarities helps bring us together, while looking at differences causes us to feel divided. I believe that the Royal Family, being a deeply religious family, understand the value of the Golden Rule: treat others the way you wish to be treated. Their too quick, knee-jerk reaction to the Lady Susan Hussey interaction with Marlene Headley shows that, in that instance, they were not following your wonderful late Queen’s example of giving a situation some thought before responding.

I’m a 76 year old great-grandmother American,living in Virginia. I loved watching the royal family whenever they were featured on the TV news & newsreels at the movies. I was one of thousands of Girl Scouts that were invited to Washington, D.C. to line the streets where Queen Elizabeth & Prince Philip ride in a coach & constantly smiled & waved to both sides of the street as we cheered & waved in a light rain. We were thrilled that the Queen had been a Girl Scout & especially invited all area Girl Scout troops to DC. We were excused from school & rode on school buses with our GS leaders.I saw hundreds of news shirts of the royals as I grew up. They visited many countries & sat with their hosts & dined & danced with them & attend ceremonies, shaking hands & kissing cheeks as Europeans do.They joined in tribal dances & hosted visits to the palace from all different countries.I grew up in all-white communities & schools & know first hand about racism. There is no way the royals have ever been racists!

I think the Princess of Wales does such an outstanding job at her engagements, as does her husband the Prince of Wales. She always is so kind and charming and polite to everyone. Most people have bad days when they may not feel as happy as other days, but Princess Catherine always seems to stay calm and her demeanour is so lovely. Prince William is also very charming consistently and looks so proud of his wife and children. A sweet family.

The Meghan version to Oprah that Kate made Meghan cry and brought flowers to apologize was irritating to hear and I would bet that version didn't sit well with Kate. In an interview in Toronto, Valentine Low stated that when Catherine arrived at Meghan’s door with flowers, Meghan slammed the door in her face. I think the whole incident was probably a non-story that the press ran away with (as they do). Meghan was probably stressed out as apparently none of the dresses were fitting well, including her own. She probably would have cried at anything. We’ll only know the truth if Princess Catherine ever gives her side of the story, and that isn’t likely to happen.

I am a loyal viewer from Texas, slightly older than the King and I AGREE with Richard about the training. It can be a dangerous path to walk because it opens one up to being labeled unfairly by others. I attended a training years ago and because I didn't agree with the people of color who were there I was labeled as a "bigot". I applaud the royal family for continuing the "never complain, never explain" path and continuing to focus on their good works. LOVE YOUR PROGRAM!

I’m with Richard Eden on the Royals attending diversity training. Surely how they treat all people, whatever their ethnicity, on a day to day basis is more important than ‘ticking boxes’. On that front I think they are doing well. I’m sick and tired of people paying lip service to the fundamental principle of treating everyone with dignity. It seems to me that the Royal family are shining examples and should be lauded not criticised on that front.
We’re Harry and Meghan even invited? I can see his mates not wanting Meghan to attend any event. Richard is right people that are not racist do not need diversity training. It’s absolutely ridiculous to even think that the royal family is racist, actions speak louder than words.
The father of the groom was quoted as saying, "I'm in no comment mode" when asked about Harry. Good for him. Saying nothing has no impact, but that seems to have some implications to it.
I think even before the interviews, documentary and book - there were quite a few reports of Meghan being her usual obnoxious, diva self with Harry's friends, creating a good deal of strain in those friendships. Lecturing them on their activities, demanding to know who would be attending a party and what they'd be wearing, etc. So not a surprise that the distancing has continued - especially now that they live on the West Coast of the US. Diversity training is often a bit laden with stuff that (to my thinking) creates a different effect. Its good to understand how things may be perceived by people from other cultures, races and/or orientations -- but a lot of the very woke strategies I find are patronizing and infantilizing. This pressure to have everyone do the training or face consequences is kind of like the cultural revolution in China years ago. Not okay to treat people unfairly in any circumstance - but that doesn't mean that we all need to think alike and talk alike or face 're-education'.

There is a popular RUclipsr who pointed out how Meghan ruined every wedding of Harry's friends that she attended with him including having pictures of her exposing her bra by leaving the top button undone to gate crashing a wedding where she was Harry's plus one but they were not together at the time. Rather than Harry not showing up, maybe he just wasn't invited; maybe his former friends realize that he sucks as a friend and no longer want him anywhere near them especially if he drags along his attention seeking narcissistic wife. Totally agree with Richard on the diversity training- it's political nonsense. The Royal Family only had one response to the Hasbeen’s and it was going to have to last for a 100 years and cover everything over time so they could get back to work. I agree with Richard’s thoughts on the unhelpfulness of “diversity training” for those who have lived by the Golden Rule of treating people the way you would like to be treated by them. There is the wonderful children’s story from long ago (The Water Babies) that had characters “Mrs. DoAsYouWouldBeDoneBy” and “Mrs. BeDoneByAsYouDid” - the moral of the story was very clear. Our dear late Majesty Queen Elizabeth demonstrated the former. My mother once said that a true aristocrat treats everyone equally, with kindness, as Christ teaches us. No other “training” should be necessary.

Just because you all have been dissing Catherine and underestimating her for years, doesn’t mean the rest of us have. I remember reading an article years ago when they interviewed the woman in South America who ran a “camp” that Catherine attended in her gap year, and she described Catherine as having a special quality about her and a quiet confidence that was very appealing and inspiring. Catherine is no doormat. William would never marry one. Even he said she had a wonderful “naughty sense of humor.” She’s got a spine, a brain, and a wonderful engaging personality. And she’s clearly very loving and loyal. William is so lucky she married him.

Personally, I agree with Richard. In my opinion, diversity training is mostly unnecessary, when the truth is, we are all more alike then we are differen. Recognizing our similarities helps bring us together, while looking at differences causes us to feel divided. I believe that the Royal Family, being a deeply religious family, understand the value of the Golden Rule: treat others the way you wish to be treated. Their too quick, knee-jerk reaction to the Lady Susan Hussey interaction with Marlene Headley shows that, in that instance, they were not following your wonderful late Queen’s example of giving a situation some thought before responding.

I’m a 76 year old great-grandmother American,living in Virginia. I loved watching the royal family whenever they were featured on the TV news & newsreels at the movies. I was one of thousands of Girl Scouts that were invited to Washington, D.C. to line the streets where Queen Elizabeth & Prince Philip ride in a coach & constantly smiled & waved to both sides of the street as we cheered & waved in a light rain. We were thrilled that the Queen had been a Girl Scout & especially invited all area Girl Scout troops to DC. We were excused from school & rode on school buses with our GS leaders.I saw hundreds of news shirts of the royals as I grew up. They visited many countries & sat with their hosts & dined & danced with them & attend ceremonies, shaking hands & kissing cheeks as Europeans do.They joined in tribal dances & hosted visits to the palace from all different countries.I grew up in all-white communities & schools & know first hand about racism. There is no way the royals have ever been racists!

I think the Princess of Wales does such an outstanding job at her engagements, as does her husband the Prince of Wales. She always is so kind and charming and polite to everyone. Most people have bad days when they may not feel as happy as other days, but Princess Catherine always seems to stay calm and her demeanour is so lovely. Prince William is also very charming consistently and looks so proud of his wife and children. A sweet family.

The Meghan version to Oprah that Kate made Meghan cry and brought flowers to apologize was irritating to hear and I would bet that version didn't sit well with Kate. Who said the flowers were an admission of guilt? I also read Meghan threw the flowers in the trash. Team Kate - I think she was the injured party and wanted it known, however subtly.

In an interview in Toronto, Valentine Low stated that when Catherine arrived at Meghan’s door with flowers, Meghan slammed the door in her face. I think the whole incident was probably a non-story that the press ran away with (as they do). Meghan was probably stressed out as apparently none of the dresses were fitting well, including her own. She probably would have cried at anything. We’ll only know the truth if Princess Catherine ever gives her side of the story, and that isn’t likely to happen.

I am a loyal viewer from Texas, slightly older than the King and I AGREE with Richard about the training. It can be a dangerous path to walk because it opens one up to being labeled unfairly by others. I attended a training years ago and because I didn't agree with the people of color who were there I was labeled as a "bigot". I applaud the royal family for continuing the "never complain, never explain" path and continuing to focus on their good works. LOVE YOUR PROGRAM!

I’m with Richard Eden on the Royals attending diversity training. Surely how they treat all people, whatever their ethnicity, on a day to day basis is more important than ‘ticking boxes’. On that front I think they are doing well. I’m sick and tired of people paying lip service to the fundamental principle of treating everyone with dignity. It seems to me that the Royal family are shining examples and should be lauded not criticised on that front.

The father of the groom was quoted as saying, "I'm in no comment mode" when asked about Harry. Good for him. Saying nothing has no impact, but that seems to have some implications to it.
I think even before the interviews, documentary and book - there were quite a few reports of Meghan being her usual obnoxious, diva self with Harry's friends, creating a good deal of strain in those friendships. Lecturing them on their activities, demanding to know who would be attending a party and what they'd be wearing, etc. So not a surprise that the distancing has continued - especially now that they live on the West Coast of the US. Diversity training is often a bit laden with stuff that (to my thinking) creates a different effect. Its good to understand how things may be perceived by people from other cultures, races and/or orientations -- but a lot of the very woke strategies I find are patronizing and infantilizing. This pressure to have everyone do the training or face consequences is kind of like the cultural revolution in China years ago. Not okay to treat people unfairly in any circumstance - but that doesn't mean that we all need to think alike and talk alike or face 're-education'.

Why are you all discussing what Harry says about “secret agreements” without presenting the actual facts that legal, out-of-court settlements, whether they are between a royal family & a newspaper, or a newspaper and a private person, or a corporation and a private citizen, or two corporations, etc., are almost always “secret” or “private.” In fact, the settlements themselves often have clauses specifically written stating no information will be released or publicly or even privately discussed by either party, under penalty of financial cost or other punishments. There is a popular RUclipsr who pointed out how Meghan ruined every wedding of Harry's friends that she attended with him including having pictures of her exposing her bra by leaving the top button undone to gate crashing a wedding where she was Harry's plus one but they were not together at the time. Rather than Harry not showing up, maybe he just wasn't invited; maybe his former friends realize that he sucks as a friend and no longer want him anywhere near them especially if he drags along his attention seeking narcissistic wife.
Totally agree with Richard on the diversity training- it's political nonsense. People are either racist (or bigots) or they are not but if you keep lumping every white person into a group that needs training, you are going to lose these people's attention (as in "I'm so sick of hearing this) and support.

The Royal Family only had one response to the Hasbeen’s and it was going to have to last for a 100 years and cover everything over time so they could get back to work. So all I can say is this was an amazing response.👏👏👏👏👏💕🇦🇺💗💕 well done the Prince and Princess of Wales 🏴 for putting it in. What an amazing Royal Family we have working together for the future.

I agree with Richard’s thoughts on the unhelpfulness of “diversity training” for those who have lived by the Golden Rule of treating people the way you would like to be treated by them. There is the wonderful children’s story from long ago (The Water Babies) that had characters “Mrs. DoAsYouWouldBeDoneBy” and “Mrs. BeDoneByAsYouDid” - the moral of the story was very clear. Our dear late Majesty Queen Elizabeth demonstrated the former. My mother once said that a true aristocrat treats everyone equally, with kindness, as Christ teaches us. No other “training” should be necessary.
I concur with Richard the palace & Prince William jumped too quickly on the Marleen controversy. They should have stood back & waited to get all the information. Also remembered Lady Susan is Williams godmother. I was most disappointed in him. KCIII & QC are pictured with her often now. Lady Susan deserved better.
