When William does something good there's criticism, when he doesn't move fast enough on what people want there's criticism, it's like he can't win either way no matter what he does.
Me as an American am extremely proud of what William has put forward on his work for the homeless and the planet, maybe people should see how he plans to move forward before they damn his hopes for the future.

What was the excuse for putting partygate on the front pages on Sunday too? Partying politicians from 3 years ago were deemed more important than TTC - again, a decision made by NEWSPAPER EDITORS

I'm sure most everything he does, especially a large venture like Earth Shot or what this homeless project sounds like, is discussed well beforehand with Buckingham Palace. You'd think after covering the Royal Family all these years they'd understand that. They do. But they also know they have stories to file so they come up with these "storylines" and "characters." I don't agree with Harry on much but he wasn't so wrong about that (he's wrong not to ignore it, like his father suggested to him).

There have been many small signs that all is not great between PW and KC. Most of it is due to H&M and Charles bending over backwards to protect and cater to them after what they have done to Catherine, his children, and his grandparents. The other part seems to be because of Camilla. It has been reported on numerous times that she has been demanding Catherine, the children, and others "bow down" to her now that she is "Queen." Recently at the Coronation she made it impossible for Catherine to invite some of her family members because Camilla grabbed all the seats for her family. Camilla has always been a nasty, nasty woman who has Always thought herself better and above others.

@@kathleensingleton6314 Charles is very much aware of the lack of social housing and homelessness. He actually built a village, Poundbury, purely of social housing using only local workmen boosting employment. He is also involved in more projects like this. Social housing plays a large part in homelessness. Although some people choose to live on the streets others have just come up against raw deals in their lives. Charles doesn't need a pat on the back for anyone else's work.

“We’re never happy, are we?” Quite the apt description for Richard, it seems, Jo. I understand that he may always want to prop up the work of the King, but why the need to degrade and criticize the Prince of Wales while promoting the King? Then we have this talk about the poor communication between the royal offices and the repeated insinuations of the Waleses upstaging/upsetting the King and Queen. This feels suspiciously like stirring the pot in order to sell more papers and earn more clicks. Please don’t resort to these tactics - there’s been enough negativity in that family lately without you adding to it.

I don't hear Richard Eden propping up King Charles. He's right to point out that the King did a lot of work on affordable housing but he often makes the King sound like a petty whiner which couldn't be less true. And, in this instance, makes Prince William sound like a self-centered brat, which couldn't be further from the truth. All the talk on this channel about who upstages who is unnecessarily divisive. If something honestly competitive happens between the King and Prince William, provide the evidence or don't talk about it. You hit the nail on the head. They are simply stirring the pot for clicks. Sadly, that kind of thing works.

King Charles, while Prince of Wales, enjoyed many, MANY years in which to express his opinions on matters considered controversial. He promised to remain shtum upon ascending the throne. The Prince of Wales has a limited amount of time in which convey his personal views, and it would seem he intends to take advantage of what time he will have. Yes, indeed, the King did build his own community, but during a time when homelessness was not as politically divisive and racially charged a reality as it is today. One can hardly expect the new “grandfather of the nation” to maintain carriage of these issues. I suspect he is relieved his son is taking up the torch.

Prior to that W&C owned 4 houses which has now been added to their overall estate portfolio.worth. This strikes me as Very condescending and tone deaf. It's like sitting with someone who is starving as you eat a 10 course meal and you do not give him any of it to eat. Or it's pouring rain in buckets and some bloke with an umbrella comes up to you and says "You should really find a way to stay dry" and then walks away. It's ridiculous.
He'd do better to tackle something like cancer, something he could actually donate money to to help discover cures. He could physically volunteer at places for a shift to help out which is very different from being driven somewhere, hopping out to cheers and photographers, walk around, shake a few hands, and then leave.

The subject of homelessness goes deeper than fixing housing issues in local areas. There are so many illegal immigrants in the UK, that this contributes to the issue. Illegal immigrants need to be housed somewhere, usually for free and this restricts housing options for British citizens who are also homeless. I truly believe if Meghan had not come along his life would be different. I feel that instead of wishing him I’ll, we should hope he can come out of this utter doom and somehow free himself from Meghan. Call me dumb if you will, but it seems that it has been she who has been the one who spoke most on Oprah, and she has been the one who’s been responsible for her god-awful podcasts

It was a different time. Those days are long gone and most people are looking out for #1. The only way homeless is political is that politicians ignore it. I am an American Gal who has worked with and for the homeless most of my adult life. I would suggest that this is a new monarchy that has the double opportunity to highlight the traditional aspects of ceremonial extravaganza while balancing it with the next generation taking up the reigns offered to him by what his father has already accomplished. I expect that William will be mentioning his father’s work already done in the months to come. It seems to me that they are working in tandem to strengthen the relevancy of the monarchy for some time to come which is striking the right tone after Harry and Meghan’s attempt to chisel away at the institution over these last few years
