Thanks for that! I've not seen this one, it looks at least worth a try. I like all the small visual details in the backgrounds like the little moving monsters and aliens.
I love this one for two reasons: The incredibly overwritten and po-faced implementation of a ridiculous premise and the fact that, while it is short as a whole, those five levels really do have an amazing flow to them.
Ya know, I remember this being a pretty big cult hit, but I guess its time in the sun is over and not many people talk about it now except for collectors. It's pretty fun, in my opinion, and I LOVE the graphics and animation. It's a top-notch game by HAL.
Oh!? I didn’t know Kabuki Quantum Fighter was obscure in North America at the time of its release. I guess the hype for SNES and Genesis didn’t help. The PAL release was treated like a big deal in French magazines in 1991 (admittedly the NES’s career both started and lasted later here).
This game has a 'great' flow to the levels. I really enjoyed it because of that, even though it reminds me of a mixture of Batman and Ninja Gaiden otherwise. It's not really that difficult of a game in my opinion, either. Overall, an above-average action game.
1:04 wait what? okay I'm gonna have to look that up. as for Jigoku Gokurakumaru I had heard the Japanese version was based on something. watching it kinda vaguely reminds me of sunsoft's batman. at some point I'm gonna resume collecting for NES so I may have to look up the US version!

Come for the name, stay for the decent gameplay.

The only thing I remember about this game is seeing it in Nintendo Power and going "huh, that's weird".
Another rented/finished game. Loved back in the day, still loving it now
I had this one back then 😃

This has a great soundtrack. Playing the PAL version makes it even better, its slower and fits the gameplay

I have to wonder why anyone talented was developing Famicom games at this point
I'm sure that the original Famicom was very competitive in sales with the Super for a while still.
I own this game
I thought Human developed this game?
This one is definitely HAL. That's why they published it in the US.
