Ebisumaru is basically Ebisu mashed up with popular depictions of Nezumi Kozō. He's also the best character in the series and I will not be entertaining counter-arguments there.
There are people who don't think Ebisumaru is the best character in the series? Also, I've always assumed that Ebisu just dresses as Nesumi Kozou at all times.
@@RndStranger Nesumi Kozou was Ebisumaru's original name on the MSX2 version of Goemon, where he debuted. In fact, the manual for this game lists his full name ねずみ小僧えびす丸.
huh did not know about the 'ebisumaru is a woman' twist in this one! A series I was definitely aware of but never got around to, assuming it might be safe to skip the FC stuff and just start with some of the SFC ones? the first mystical ninja game seemed fun from the looks of it.
It's been a while since I played them, but I remember them being decent but not spectacular 8-bit RPG's. Guess I'll find out if I still think that way when I reach the first one in a couple of months.

Ebisumaru is the best human character in the series, yes. But he’s not as cool as Impact.

I wonder what will you think about Goemon RPGs. I've beaten both and those were kind of rough.
