I still can't get over the "Stoner Sandwich" & the Stoner glasses from the other day while thinking BenDeen was stoned behind those Stoner glasses of his!! 🤣🤣
My bf tells me that the thumbnails of all korean mukbang channels i follow looks like the person eating is in hell. I can't wait to show him this minimalistic take on the genre.
This is because our guy actually enjoys eating and he's also rarely eating anything too far out of pocket. Best mukbanger to the point where I don't even want to lump him in with that genre
@@bananarabbit3 Real. I mean he's definitely in that genre to some extent, but more of his own subgenre, being a combination of tags like clean-eating, down-to-earth vibes, storytimes, etc. And I could be wrong, but since he's been around for so long, I feel like he may be the first in this subgenre, the OG, at least for the english-speaking audience.
Interesting! I've always loved the OG Shin Ramyun, but now I really need to try the Black. It's not only twice the price in my local supermarket, but they don't have it in individual packs like they do for the OG. $7 for a 4-pack of original, $14 for 4-pack of Black. Worth it though, so I'll have to give it a shot. Doesn't look like they have The Red at all, but maybe an Asian market would.
It's so interesting how many different versions of Shin Ramyun there are. I'd love to do a taste test of all of them. Other than the ones you tested in this video, I've seen Shin Ramyun Gold - spicy chicken version. I've also seen the Shin Ramyum stir-fry version, and the Shin Ramyun Green - vegan version, and a Gourmet Spicy Vegan Shin Ramyun version. They also have a Shin Ramyun light version - with air dried noodles. All of these are sold at my Wal-Mart - in the USA.
The black Shin Ramyeon pack is my favorite, the broth is so creamy and it just hits different. My only problem is the mushrooms would be a 10/10 if it didn't have them
That light colored powder in the Shin Black is powdered bone broth that takes it to the next level. TIP: You can buy powdered bone broth and add a teaspoon to normal or Shin Red to elevate them.
You should do a customization one, use the 2x spicy packet in the black instead of the og packet. That’s the only customization I can come up with, literally as I’m typing this 13:54 you are about to mix them so never mind.
8:06 I are spicy seafood ramen yesterday. While it was hot / warm - the spiciness was on the verge of overheelming. Before I finished, I had to go cook breakfast for my mom. When I came back, it was of course room temperature and the spiciness was gone. Idk it was wild. So, I wonder if the temperature affects the spiciness.
I hear Korean food is great. I love the spicy kimchi👍💯🌶🔥. I also hear there is a lot of weird foods that taste great also. Sounds like an awesome country.
Shin black is my favorite. Bone broth for real. Has more flavor to me. Nice depth and spice. Not as spicy as the OG. Didn't know about the red. And my spice tolerance isn't the best. Still spicy to me. I add bok choy and some squid or octopus. Add some sesame oil and dried seaweed. Man I just love the broth.
Shin Ramen was my everyday breakfast back in 2010-2014 as a kid, they don’t taste the same anymore and idk why. I wonder if the black version tastes anything like back then and return some nostalgia, I miss it.
I absolutely love the OG, and so I always buy it in boxes of 20, but I haven't tried the black one yet, which I think could be nice to have from time to time. The red one is probably too hot for my taste, and so I won't even dare to try it, since the OG is about the limit of heat that I am willing to tolerate, mainly due to the aftereffects of eating hot stuff💩
Could be an interesting taste test of the same Ramyuns dressed up with the typical add-ins. Egg, veg, cheese, seasonings, etc. What's the tipping point when the fav has too much added to it. The Black bone broth one is damn fine, IMHO.
I’ve always made my cup noodles with the lid off. it’s the best way to prevent them from getting soggy and once they’re ready, they’ve already cooled down a bit so it’s easier to eat.
I need to try it again. I think I only took one bite when I tried the black - it was so spicy. Wondering if I could just use less of the spicy powder to make it more palatable to me.
honestly i like the packaged shin ramyun black than the cup one, the cup one (unless i guess it's from south korea) taste like pastic and styrofoam and doesnt have the same taste as the packaged one does.
Only tried red and original, haven't tried black usually eat red. The originals alright but i usually add my own spices to it to give it more of a kick.
When I found Black years ago, I never buy anything else. I also add a pod (carolina reaper or ghost ect.) When I cook mine. Also, somehow, the ones you buy in a brick that you can stovetop cook are somehow better.
I usually keep a few of the Black ones in my pantry (bowl or packet version). In the US, it says “Beef Bone Broth” on the label. I don’t think I’ve seen the Red one here.
People say the taste of the og Shin ramyun (신라면) has changed over the years and now the black tastes closer to the OG Shin ramyun back in the days when it was good.

i thought it was ok. had a bit of a tomato taste ?

When i watch this guys videos he makes me want to eat sh*t i dont even like, i just get hungry af🤣🤣🤣

85 cent increase where I’m at. Well worth it imo.

Shin black and Ichiran home kit are my go to 👌
Gotta try Shin Kimchi ramyun, its thier best one in my opinion!

SHIN BLACK IS THE BEST! Been hooked since it came out 🤘🏼
I love love love shin so much I’ve tried all ramen and shin is king 👑 11:33
I love OG but black is even better! It’s the only ramen where I have to drink the entire soup!
It would be more informative if you also compare their prices. In where I live, black version costs almost twice as the original.
I actually bought some Shin Ramyen Black yesterday and I haven't tried it before, now I'm really excited to try it!
WHAT DID YOU THINK?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Shin Black, baby, all the way
The Shin Black is bomb AF. I add some thinly sliced roast beef, chives, an egg, and a few shakes of hot chili oil to it. Totally on point ! 😋

One of my favourite brands of noodles and also I like buldak hot chicken ramen 😋
SR black has a seafood base (shrimp and anchovy) plus the fake beef bone broth (bullion) , and costs more. I prefer the OG.

Great video as always, which is hotter the og or the black? We have a gold shin where i am in Canada chicken flavor haven't tried it yet ❤🇨🇦
Og is slightly hotter. Black is the slightly higher quality one with "richer" broth
@@chrisg1556 thank you

Shin ramens best flavor is definitely the kimchi flavor

Here I can find, OG, Black, Red, & Gold.
BenDeen likes his Shin Ramyun how he likes his cars
You gotta try the tom yum one and gold chicken flavour
You should put the second powder just befor you eat for the red.
When I found Black years ago, I never buy anything else. I also add a pod (carolina reaper or ghost ect.) When I cook mine. Also, somehow, the ones you buy in a brick that you can stovetop cook are somehow better.
Its not just in your head, the way the spice hits it seems like its the temp, but its all from the broth spice levels.
I take out the top too. By the time it's done, it's cool enough to eat
Black + added chilli powder/flakes is the winner
Have you tried Shin Gold? I'd be interested in seeing your take on it
The Lite (available in the USA) is a good second to the Black. Had to go that route when the Wuhan Virus hit. 😞
I usually keep a few of the Black ones in my pantry (bowl or packet version). In the US, it says “Beef Bone Broth” on the label. I don’t think I’ve seen the Red one here.
The black helped get me through ‘rona lockdowns in 2020! I’d doctor it up with cheese and eggs
Black version is by far the best it’s more like a ramen broth it’s also more expensive😢
Best way to tell spice levels is rub each one into a different eye and see which burns more
