A great Fats Domino song. I quite like this but it dosen't compare with the performance on the vhs BBC Doco Put it There. McCartney on that special take rips up passion, fun and rocks it with just such huge enthusiasm and punch. Others didn't like the doco special and prefer this album cover. What do other thinks? Overall, McCartney is great with this track and it shows that it is one of his favourites. Please consider watching the live in the studio version too though. Finally, this was one of few tracks from that era to be included on The Tripping The Live Fantatsic cd release. All McCartney versions though are heaps better than the sometime lauded John Lennon version. Whilst I enjoy most of John's rock n roll record his performance of this song is very dull and unispiring, with a weak vocal and lack of any conviction.
@@Kieop Hi Do you mean on Tripping the Live Fantatsic or the Put it there Doco? I love the doco versions because you can see what fun McCartney are having. What a blast and that come sthrough the music. Nothing like a jam session where everyhting clicks. I really liked the band he had at this juncture in his career. Have one amazing weekend - or at least hopefully a great one. Cheers.
@@triplejazzmusicisall1883 I haven't heard Tripping yet; hope CPO does it. I've seen the Put It There doc but I don't remember it clearly. I meant RUclips uploads of recordings from various concerts on The Paul McCartney Tour.
@@Kieop Thanks for taking the time to reply - much appreciated. Yes I think the concert ones are too and some at soundchecks. Maybe those songs simply are better suited to a live performance. I like your taste in music. Cheers.
@@ggueld9246 John does a medley of Bring It On Home to Me and Send Me Some Lovin', as well as Ain't That a Shame and Just Because on his Rock and Roll album.
Classic song classic performance
NICE!
The second of three tracks where Paul is on guitar, again, he truly delivers a great performance.
I thought I was going nuts. I was getting ready to start a comment with "The second of three tracks where...". Different ending though.
I like the use of the fading repeat they use at 3:44 and at the end of the track. Sounds great to me.
it sounds HORRIBLE, can't take it serious, probably a '88 thing to do, destroys the vintage feel
I'm generally not crazy about covers of 1950s and early 1960s rock songs, even when the Beatles did the covers. However, I really enjoy this track.

@@debjorgo That was another Just Because. Not the same.
@@ggueld9246 Oo! You are correct. Thanks for catching that.
