Very nicely sewn and presented! Your information regarding stitching the neckline before sewing the rest of attaching interlining was very helpful. Your styling ideas all looked very nice, and I enjoyed your light-hearted presentation of them.

Thank you very much 💕🥰...I'm so glad you understood what I was trying to describe and glad it is helpful. I try to be as detailed as possible. I enjoyed having a giggle about the dress and how bridal it looked! Xx

Lovely video! The dress is very pretty! One of your pictures really showed the cream color well....but I love that you have fun with your wedding flowers! I made a plain teal coco and find it a great “base” layer for dressing up or dressing down...which you are very clever at! I love the tip to trim the back before inserting the zip...I need to take more time with that in the future! I share your waistband woes with my first Camden skirt. It is not see through, but it is always wrinkly across the middle of the waistband. A thicker interfacing would solve the problem easily enough:) hard to imagine summer here....we just had 20 cm of snow! But it will come and you will have a new dress ready to go!

Hi Cyndy 😄...thanks so much, I'm glad you like it. I keep looking at myself on this video and all I can see is my spot and how chubby I'm looking 😂😂....the woes of the lockdown weight gain, but I'm putting an effort into getting back to my usual weight so I can wear my me-mades again properly.
I love layering and being able to dress something up or down...and you know I love the Coco, such a staple top and dress. I've made 2 more recently so I'll be showing those in my next makes vlog in a week or so.
Brr snow!! It's turned colder here this week, but my boys are still wearing their shorts lol.
The waistband on my Camden is alright but I think it's because my denim is quite sturdy and I used a cotton poplin to interface the waist and too xx

Just for the record...I didn’t notice any spot...and come summer you will drop those pounds faster than you can imagine! As your boys grow, they’ll be eating so much, there won’t be anything in the house to snack on, let alone seconds after dinner! 😜😆 I confess, I have hidden chocolate cookies in an oatmeal box just to throw them off!!
Looking forward to seeing your other makes!!
      xx

That dress looks lovely on you. I think you'll find lots of places to wear it in the spring + summer once Covid is eradicated. Great review.

Hiya, thank you Anna...I was feeling quite pale in it, but I don't think the glare from the window helped lol. I love it paired with the jackets and I'll definitely get lots of wear out of it next year in the summer xx

Thank you Andrea, I love it with th denim jacket too...it adds a bit of warmth to the colour palette! Really need that tan lol. I think I will pair it with red shoes and a red flower as with the denim jacket it'll all coordinate ❤️☺️ xx

Oh my goodness what a lovely make. It looks beautiful on you Karen. I actually have this pattern but have chickened out of making it so far 😂. The pattern review is excellent and I really enjoyed your styling ideas. I so enjoy your vlogs.

Hi Shelly, aww thank you so much, I'm so happy you enjoy my vlogs. I read your comment whilst out on my walk earlier and it brightened my day 😊, especially as I was feeling quite pale in the dress yesterday during filming. I'm a bit menstrual at the moment too, hence the lovely spot on my face! I hope you eventually make the pattern as it's quite an enjoyable sew, as long as you take your time xx

I also had the same issue with the back fitting but because I loved the design, I have adjusted the back bodice and looking for a nice fabric to make it again.
It was quite easy and I liked making it.

Hiya, oh well done with making a change with the back bodice, that's a good call. It's a lovely pattern I agree. I will probably make it again but would like to see how it looks in a rayon xx

Great vlog and the dress looks so good on you. I think I’m put off this pattern due to the sheer amount of adjustments though 🤔. Not heard of the interlining method but sounds good 👌🏼

    • @sewlittletime
      @sewlittletime  3 года назад

Hi Paula, thank you very much. Adjustments used to put me off too, but I've become a bit braver about making them now, but I mainly do it as I go along, unless I make a toile which isn't all that often these days...too impatient lol xx
