Not even a question, I 100% believe Ruud. He always finds respectful and nice words about his opponents after a match, whether he wins or loses. I’ve never seen him act disrespectful or rude in any of his matches and never heard of anyone having a problem with him. (Except for Kyrgios, but he seems to have issues with a lot of people, so..)

    • @sarahmaria1774

@Jordan Reynolds I meant that Kyrgios is the only one I know of who doesn’t like Ruud. And as you mentioned, what Ruud said there was justified.

@@sarahmaria1774 dont tell anyone, but I am certain Kyrgios actually likes and respects Ruud and vice versa. Kyrgios is an entertainer, and he picks "fights" wherever he can, but I have been told from people who know him that he is a nice and conciderate person in private.

I don't like kyrgios at all, his behaviour is a shame. Although, Casper shouldn't have said Kyrgios behaves like an idiot. He insulted a player, which is the same as kyrgios do all the time. No matter how stupid you think he is, Casper should have had better self control.
And regarding the match against Rune, I don't like Rune either, he is a spoiled kid. Having said that, I think Casper shouldn't have told Rune to stop calling the umpire to check every ball. The answer of Rune to that comment of Casper, telling him not to talk to him was rude, but Casper didn't behave well either in that moment. Is not your job to tell the other player when he can or can't call the umpire to check a ball.
I like Ruud, he seems a nice guy, but those two episodes, in my opinion, cast a shadow of doubt about his future beahaviour on court, and makes me also doubt a little bit about the incident in the locker room. I don't think it was like Rune said, but maybe, given the lost of self control Ruud has shown in those two moments, with kyrgios and Rune, could make you think something happened in the locker room. Who knows.

    • @Meddimehell

@@eldrickt.w.3525 I think it is good for tennis that we have players who shows feelings, as Rune and Kyrgios clearly does. So far Kyrgios have shown more charisma, but Rune is young and hopefully he will grow up and improve in that area as well.

From the little I've seen so far from Rune, I'd say he's definitely talented and has it in him to do some impressive things in the future. Let's see...
During the match, Rune was constantly interracting with his team, shouting aggressively, throwing his racket, complaining about balls that where clearly out, asking the umpire to check. When Ruud told him to ease, he said "don't talk to me". From the bench he yelled "get out!" and his mother left soon after. When being confronted with this afterwards, he claimed that he wasn't talking to his mother, but at someone else in the crowd. But he didn't want to say who it was, or explain any further.
After the game, and whilst Ruud made a comment on that Rune perhaps should grow up, Rune came publicly with the claim that Ruud approached him with the "Yaaaa!". Ruud camp fully denies this and made their public response accordingly. Soon after, Rune makes an announcement on IG saying that he wants to squash it and wishes Ruud all the best.
The behavior from Rune doesn't really scream trustworthiness imo. He lost both the game and the feud, but something tells me that it won't be the last clash between these Scandinavian prodigies.

Why would Rune lie? LOL, even his mother lies! Even Danish people dislike him, and think he is a brat, that says it all. Rune has been a bully on court since he was young and he obviously has no respect for other players or people (calling one of his opponents a fag etc). His mother is of the same kind so he has obviously learned from her. How she behaved afterwards and on social media shows what kind of person she is. Attacking Caspers father for not being in the locker room so he couldnt know while she herself was obviously not anywhere near that locker room. Talk about slamming the door in your own face.
Ask yourself this question: Why would Casper lie? He has always been honest, fair and treated people with respect both on and off the court. The same cant be sa8d about Rune..
Ruud didnt give a proper handshake? are you delusional? Casper always take his time and have a small talk with his opponents even if he lose when he says thanks for the game. That obnoxious kid Rune nearly touched his hand and just ran off in a hurry, no congrats or anything. What should Ruud do, run after him? Rune had been acting unsportmanlike all game. No wonder Casper shook his head. You really must be his friend or family since you can write something like that.
