Some of his older clips where hes shouting at his opponents and swearing and yelling homophobic comments is weird af also.
No, not Shapo! Denis strikes me as a good kid who needs to learn how to better control his frustrations. Rune is a spoilt little brat with no redeeming qualities as far as I can tell.
To be honest, way before these 2 met in any finals I wondered what this might be like, and dreaded something fiery like this. The reason being due to the related history of the 2 countries. As foreigners who moved to Norway you quickly pick up on that history in current culture, the things that are said. I think Sweden, Norway and Denmark have a special relationship. What might mean in the hearts of say 2 players in the finals from the US and Poland would\could easily be very different if it's a final between Sweden and Norway, or Norway and Denmark.
Rune is a typical spoilt teenager who has been brought up badly by his parents and has little in the way of manners or respect. You can tell alot about a man when he loses more so than when he wins. Sadly Rune is not a man yet.
Rune is a spoiled young player and hope he will be better in the future and controll himself. I m proud of Ruud, he speaks very respectful about other players.
I was actually impressed with Rune's composure up to this match. About the locker room, I couldn't care, minor incident, both could be right. Rune will learn from this, he's still very young.
You have missed the important information that in modern times we must immediately rage against people's mistakes and exaggerate them wildly. This demonstrates our superiority. (Seriously, it was nice to read a comment putting this in perspective. As you say Rune is 19. If he makes a pattern of this, then stronger judgements are justified. Also, everyone here seems to be judging based on one side. While I find Ruud credible, it's still one side.)
Alcaraz is also very young but look how he behaves. The fact that someone is 19 years old doesn't take from the other fact that I have right to criticize his behaviour which was disappointing at least

A pure diamond, Casper is one of the most exemplary player and a role model kids should look up to. There are entertainers, killers, lucky shots, etc. and there are true, disciplined and purposeful leaders I admire such as him.
So far it might be the same conditions that create Narcissistic Personality Disorder that is almost certainly in Kyrgios and as such may be a similar outcome in Rune. No matter how talented or how emotional etc, it's not an excuse to treat others badly. ONe can be a great talent but be a deranged human if one behaves like these people and their behaviour is not acceptable either. The end result: To not accept these peoples' behaviour, it may indeed help their condition if they are suffering from it.

I cannot imagine Ruud behaving that way, absolutely believe him 100%. You only have to compare how the 2 players behaved during the match. Holger was a BRAT. He was rude, argumentative, screaming at his box, banished his mother then could hardly shake Caspers hand at the net. What a little sh*t.

I will cannot accept an educated young man asking his mother to leave like that. How to you go around living after that? You take you kids to the stadiums or you watching tennis at home and you have to explain that to your kids. There are many of them now and they should be banned.
What really happened - and you only show one side of the case? Come on!! We know completely different things has been said from others than Casper himself and his family.
Let's see... During the match, Rune was constantly interracting with his team, shouting aggressively, throwing his racket, complaining about balls that where clearly out, asking the umpire to check. When Ruud told him to ease, he said "don't talk to me". From the bench he yelled "get out!" and his mother left soon after. When being confronted with this afterwards, he claimed that he wasn't talking to his mother, but at someone else in the crowd. But he didn't want to say who it was, or explain any further. After the game, and whilst Ruud made a comment on that Rune perhaps should grow up, Rune came publicly with the claim that Ruud approached him with the "Yaaaa!". Ruud camp fully denies this and made their public response accordingly. Soon after, Rune makes an announcement on IG saying that he wants to squash it and wishes Ruud all the best. The behavior from Rune doesn't really scream trustworthiness imo. He lost both the game and the feud, but something tells me that it won't be the last clash between these Scandinavian prodigies.
Casper Ruud is an absolute gentleman, Rune acted like a child on the court. I don't believe a word Rune said about the exchange in the locker room. Rune needs to do a bit of growing up I think.

His mother is of the same kind so he has obviously learned from her. How she behaved afterwards and on social media shows what kind of person she is. Attacking Caspers father for not being in the locker room so he couldnt know while she herself was obviously not anywhere near that locker room. Talk about slamming the door in your own face. Ask yourself this question: Why would Casper lie? He has always been honest, fair and treated people with respect both on and off the court. The same cant be sa8d about Rune.. Ruud didnt give a proper handshake? are you delusional? Casper always take his time and have a small talk with his opponents even if he lose when he says thanks for the game. That obnoxious kid Rune nearly touched his hand and just ran off in a hurry, no congrats or anything. What should Ruud do, run after him? Rune had been acting unsportmanlike all game. @@MrC-ov1ht as I said. Lot was not translated in this interview but ok translation. Only thing.. Ruud did not use the word "shame" (skam) in norwegian as I can notice. He used the word "synd" that can be translated to english as "a sin", or the much more correct translation "sad". By this he meant it was sad for him (Rune), himself (Ruud) but also the sport I think.
As a Dane, I couldn’t be more happy that Casper won this match 🙂 Holger Rune…wow, what a loser - in every sense of the word
I think Henrik, an adult commentating negative on a youtube channel is more of a loser than a future tennis champ.
He is a very talented kid, and I dont have any problems at all with players being themselves for good and bad. Rune have crossed some lines that he shouldnt have crossed though, but he is young and hopefully he will learn and improve his behaviour in the future.
I dont agree that he is a loser, in any sense of the word. He might very well be a future top 10, he might very well win one or several GS in the future, and I am sure all of us did some stupid mistakes when we were 19.
I am norwegian btw, and I have a soft spot for Rune. I do believe Ruud in this case though, but I really dont see any big problems here. Rune was fired up, he made some bad choices, lets forget it and move on.
Fingers crossed we will see Ruud vs Rune in a final at Roland Garros one day. That would be fantastic :D
@@alexanderberg7229 ok rune, move along now
Han vinder ret meget, gør han ikke?
Rune is already giving off Kyrgios/Shapovalov vibes where his tennis is great but the way he acts like a brat is annoying as hell. He is young but there is no excuse to be shouting at his mum or calling the umpire to check every mark.
Many great friendships actually started this way.
1:59 I like how long was the “are you surprised” in Norwegian ))
The reporter said a lot more than that in norwegian, just bad texting.
I trust Ruud. Rune is too much…not educated well! He won’t have a bright future by behaving like that.
Ruud is lying.
@@maxmaxs9608 very unlikely imo, but if you have some reasoning or side "evidence" do let us know.
Rune needs to go to the russian forests to see what it its like
How do you know this lol? Just making stuff up
@@weSnooker How do you know shit stinks? Do you need to eat it to know? Lol
@@mercuryrising4323 that’s completely irrelevant
Ruud did shout at Rune in the locker and that kind of schadenfreude, is disgraceful.
Alcaraz is also very young but look how he behaves. The fact that someone is 19 years old doesn't take from the other fact that I have right to criticize his behaviour which was disappointing at least
@@maxmaxs9608 🤣🤣
People who refuse to be held accountable do not learn u fortunately.
Mouratoglu is coaching Rune, I hope he will teach him some fair play rules as well, because this young player is a big talent.
1:59 - 2:09 - the guy asks a 10 second question.
English translation: "Are you surprised?"
Bad texting, but it catches the essence.
He said «To all of us who watched the match we were a bit surprised that the talk about unsportmanship came from that part. Are you as surprised as we are?» The translator must have fallen asleep 😂
This is the worst translation ive ever seen. Not wrong, but lacking 70% of what was said
A pure diamond, Casper is one of the most exemplary player and a role model kids should look up to. There are entertainers, killers, lucky shots, etc. and there are true, disciplined and purposeful leaders I admire such as him.
Rune is like male Karen Wozniacki...
They're like Chazz and Jimmy from Blades of Glory. Fire and Ice.
Casper is very likeable reminds me a little of Federer
Federer was actually behaving more like Rune than Ruud, when he was a youngster.
Will Rune be the new Kyrgios?
So far it might be the same conditions that create Narcissistic Personality Disorder that is almost certainly in Kyrgios and as such may be a similar outcome in Rune.
No matter how talented or how emotional etc, it's not an excuse to treat others badly. ONe can be a great talent but be a deranged human if one behaves like these people and their behaviour is not acceptable either.
The end result: To not accept these peoples' behaviour, it may indeed help their condition if they are suffering from it.
Is it just me or it looked like he was talking for hours and had only one line of subtitles? certainly looked like it wasn't word for word:-)
They said much more than what was translated on screen. The translator obviously slept on work. 😂
Its easy to explain, Rune doesn't know the wors respect and Ruud does
Casper is a gentleman, well played young fellow.
If what Ruud said is true then Rune is simply behaving like a spoiled brat. It's a case of a disrespectful child. Hopefully he'll mature or life will teach him a lesson
The presenter spoke for 10 seconds in Norwegian just for it to translate as “are you surprised?” 😂
He said much more. The translator obviously slept on work. 😂 He said «To all of us who watched the match we were a bit surprised that the talk about unsportmanship came from that side. Are you as surprised as us?»
I actually think it was a bit less than gentlemanlike of Ruud not to show some understanding of the gravity of the situation for Rune, Ruud won after all in a situation where Rune was (right or wrong) sure the ball was out!
1:04 When he said "Vi var i garderoben"
For me who is swedish and norwegian is similar "Garderoben" means closet LOL
In danish it doesn’t mean closet though. It means a small room where you take off your coat or outer layers of cloathing.
@@theelectricalengineeringst7231 i know
@@theelectricalengineeringst7231 In Norwegian, garderobe can also mean locker room when its a bigger room where sports athletes gather. When you talk about in your home, garderobe means wardrobe or closet.
Rune is the new Djiokovic with all this controversy, drama, polémics and lies around him already
Ruud is such a class act. Rune needs to change his attitude to his fellow players fast.
Why , Mat Wilander just spoke about him in a podcast. And the cold handshakes.
Rune is here to win , not make friends . He believes it is working.
That you are oversensitive is your own problem, not everyone else's
There's always two sides to the story and the only ones who know for sure what went on between them are the ones who were present in the room on that day. What the fans, spectators and commentators think about it isn't really that important.
It looks like nothing much happened.
They may end up with a great rivalry.
The worst part of this Holger drama its not the way he behave on court - witch is understandable - many great players had outbursts, especially in his ave. The worst part is what he od doint with that afterall. Instead of taking resposibility and just saying sorry he lies. He lied about these homofobic insults He lied about streaming at his own motherand he lied about Casper. Even worse - his mom protecting him instead puting him upright
Apparently "Are you surprised?" in norwegian are 6 sentences.
I think we found ourselves the new Tsitsipas Medvedev friendship 😂😂😂
In woman's tennis that sort of handshake at the end of a match is very common.
Interviewer says 50 words..
Translation - *are you surprised* ?
He said «To us who watched the match we were a bit surprised that the talk about unsportmanship came from that side. Are you as surprised as us?» The translator must have fallen asleep 😂
What a strange thing to lie about.
Also strange to lie about the fact that he yelled "get out!" to his mom. I know he denied it, but at the same time didn't want to explain who and why. Strange and juvenile behavior
Holger's testimony lost all credibility when he managed the situation like this. Such an unbalanced, spoiled kid. I hope maturity will come soon in his case or his career will be gone soon
Did he mature and reach #7 or did he not mature and his career is over?
@@hyphorse to mature and improve his skillset has nothing to do. A person can be one of the best in his/her matter, and still be a****les. Many examples come to my mind. Success doesnt justify bad attitudes. That's why this current society sucks.
Casper is infinitely more credible to me than Rune so I believe him, plus he's not really showing any signs of deception in this interview so there's that
I wonder whether Rune and his mom has some traits similar to the Borderline Personality Disorder diagnosis. So much drama. Probably either distorted perception skills or outright inventing lies out of thin air. Rune could be the next Kyrgios if he carries on like this. Or McEnroe or Djokovic, some immature people manage to partially get themselves together, enough to compete very well. It will be highly interesting to see what happens to my young fellow Dane in the future. I hope for Rune's sake that he grows up, he surely needs it.
They are both definately narcissistic…
Your 100% spot on. Im danish and seen some interviews with her. It reeks of BP
@@In_my_own_mind Yup. Its narcissism.
Least we forget Rune was screaming at his own mother to get out of the stadium ....draw your own conclusions ...
I still dont know what Happen 🤷♂️
How was pretty surprised at how long it takes to say “Are you surprised?” in Norwegian! 😳
Rune lost the respect of all the tennis community, Ruud is suck a good guy and he would never do that because he is a trully professional. Just ridiculous what rune did.
1:59 all that for “Are you surprised”?
Looooool why does the final clip have nadal's AO win but say "Game set match djokovic" hahahaha
Am I the only one to see some Zverev vibes and angry explosive behaviour. I am worried in couple years there will be some ex girlfriend going public with something to say.
I’ll take Casper Ruud’s word over Holger Rune’s any day.
Considering Rune's behaviour on court it's obvious who is the real "hooligan".
Rune acted like a spoilt kid throughout the match, not pleasant to watch to be honest
Lol, seems like someone watched Michael Jordan's Last Dance Netflix documentary where he imagined one of his opposition players to have said 'Nice game Mike!' to get pumped up and then destroyed the opponent and the team in the next match.
There are some many egoistic professional players these days on your Rune, Tsitsipas, Kyrgios..
and is that true that Rune hasn't win any matches after that loss to Ruud at the FO?
No it's not true at all

Rune needs to mature as person. Still a child indeed
That you are oversensitive is your own problem, not everyone else's
Rune is a spoilt kid! Ruud is a class guy! 🙏🎾
What is the basis of people saying Ruud story is right lol
Why would Rune lie
Ruud didnt even give a proper handshake
Why would Rune lie? LOL, even his mother lies! Even Danish people dislike him, and think he is a brat, that says it all. Rune has been a bully on court since he was young and he obviously has no respect for other players or people (calling one of his opponents a fag etc).
No wonder Casper shook his head. You really must be his friend or family since you can write something like that.
He ate pizza? what?
