This song is so mentally exhausting, it's like a marathon for the brain. Just to listen to it, imagine playing it with this level of precission in the middle of a live set. Dave King is even enjoying it. This people are cut from another cloth.
This song changed my life. I always wonder if they talk about this particular song in an interview or something. I so much want to know more about them and what they think of their music!
@@animalemagico7131 Haha ya know, it's just like almost every other music I've ever heard in my life exists on a fabric that's pretty diverse and broad, and they just take that fabric and absolutely shred it and pour gasoline on it and burn it down to ashes and then transmute the ashes into shimmering gold, which actually turns out to be crunchy, delicious popcorn. I don't know how else to explain it haha. Somehow the organized chaos of what they're doing here, I find it so beautiful. Really canon-blasting through what I ever thought was possible with music. I just love it.
If you watch the full performance, you notice that immediately after they all have huge smiles on their faces walking off stage. I think it's all a part of the act to just run the score through a blender and keep a straight face the whole time haha

Great performance. One of my all-time favorite compositions by Reid. Dave hitting HARD(and muting the toms)🤣
I wonder if this audience realised just what they were witnessing.
Masters? Gods!

@@xan4720 oooh, I see! Yes is a really non-conventional tune, made of few element but really well crafted.
dave is a machine
What a contrast between music and the scene in the audience. This music should be played under a mosh-only policy.

Wow, amazing playing. Dave used to be pretty chubby eh.
Lol replace the piano with a distorted guitar and you have a metal song.
very nice pianist however it seems he never has fun, it is always stern in his world...
this is called concentration, because he adjusts to the other musicians
