I agree with you, l was a stay at home Mum for 17 years, stupidly reliant on my husband. We are now divorcing (my choice) - my biggest regret is putting all of my eggs in one basket. I should have worked to have my own independence as well
If they are true traditional wives they don’t need to work because they have men that can afford to keep them and don’t need to try and prove something online. If the man is lovely then it can work very well as a dynamic. We probably only hear about when things go wrong.. It’s very sad if you are in a relationship where you feel you need to have emergency funds etc “just incase he leaves” You shouldn’t be living with that feeling. In any case, most of the time, it is the woman that leaves the man and then he has to pay child maintenance so it’s not the end of the world.
It’s good for women to have choice and most men agree with that, but it’s gone too far where women are acting like the man in relationships which is really off putting. I think that’s why some people don’t like hard core feminists.
