I love that you admit that you sometimes have to talk to the dents. Thanks for such a thorough demo, Art!

Sometimes you have to talk to tile... cuss a piece of wood out... And finesse and sweet-talk some granite

Lol. So I’ve been watching this stuff for two days. Its kind of interesting. Just now, my wife walks up and says, “hey, let me see that.” “That’s Art!!!” Evidently she has been watching your wife’s youtube stuff for about 5 years.

I used to play an Olds Trombone...It had a stink l couldnt get rid of but it had a beautiful smooth tone like nothing lve ever heard from a horn so l couldnt part with it..The slide was perfectly balanced.Nobody could understand why l would want to play such a hideous looking smelly thing...The sound was so pretty l still think about it...Years later l saw it in a clothing store used as part of an Xmas display on a wall...I told the manager that l used to play that very horn as a young man...He brought it over to me and l was shocked to see it had been abused..I should have offered to buy it.Seriously the tone was amazing...

Nicely done! A lot more content than I expected in a single video. That was nice.

Art, these videos are just as intense as my university lectures (six years of them).

I have knocked out dents instead of using the dent hammers... Using a rubber Hammer 8 oz rubber hammer... And I've also used instead of the Mandrill use a stick to get out dents... Of course I just figured those things out and did not know that they would work but they they do

Love your videos Art. Always interesting information. What are you using for a camera? Just wondering if it has a built in time lapse. For things like the meticulous incremental dent balls you could set it to record a second of footage every 20 seconds and give a 3 minute time lapse of 60min of work.It would be a cool overview and you don't need to burn drive space or editing time making the time lapse.

Curious what size ball range you would use for a baritone and euphonium. I bought a set of 5, I hope these will cut it.

Many people like to say "there's more than one way to skin a cat" but it's most important to ask why! Doesn't matter how "right" you did the job if it didn't actually work.

Why can't you use the small dent balls with the Dent ball magnet?

    • @Jared_De_Leon

The smaller the ball the less force the magnet applies. Once you get to a certain point there's just not enough force to pull out the dent even with a very powerful magnet.

Does the French horn dent remover make anyone else uncomfortable?
