Thanks David! I bought one Elmo (fine) a month ago. I loved it a lot and bought another (medium). Both great and have pushed aside other pens. This is NOT my pen purchase pattern. A very elegant pen; smooth nib. With Montegrappa black ink, really fantastic.
Thanks David! I’ve been thinking about this pen for a while now but the lack of reviews bothered me. It’s also been hard in the pictures to see if the section was just tapered or had was slightly concave. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I am one step closer to buying this one.
Thank you David for the review . I'm glad you explained the name because i was thinking of Elmo the Muppet and could not figure out what the connection was. I like the classic looks and i do love Montegrappa pens and their designs.
I found my way to this review after seeing pictures of the Montegrappa Elmo Bloom series - beautiful options, one and all! After this favorable review, I think the Yellow Iris may be my first pen purchase in 2020!
I have the Elmo Rosso Ciliegia (red) with a fine nib and it's also a great writer and one of my favorites. These are a lot more practical and affordable than some of their screwy limited editions like the Samurai.
Thanks for this review. I have two of the Goulet exclusive colors, one with fine nib and one with medium, and I like my Elmos very much. Now I kind of want one with a broad nib! I have also ordered a sample vial of Taccia Ebi. I'd love to see a review of the Taccia Murasaki purple.
Thanks for the review David. I would love to see more ink reviews from you and not just the newer ones, I would love to see some universally loved ink review series as well.
Just watched a video on a Montegrappa Neuro Uno(sic) . Pen had a fine or extra fine nib , a dry writer that wouldn’t work under its own weight, had to be pressed. Have you had these issues with one of their pens. It cost 345 Euros. I prefer Broad nibs.
I have four Montegrappe pens. I love them all. They all have a certain in-your-face beauty and elegance that I dig greatly. Never heard of the Elmo before seeing David’s video here and excellent review as always. I like the somewhat understated look of this pen, but it’s really beautiful all the same. Wonder if there are other colours offered for the Elmo. And that splendid broad nib tempts me no end. The price is delightfully reasonable for a Montegrappe. I must get it the soonest I can.
Thanks for another pen review. Nice pen and it does bear a significant resemblance to the Esterbrook Estie. The main difference is that the cap on the Elmo is level with the barrel while with the Estie, it's not.
Moneygrabba.

I own the Elmo Rossa Cilirgia and the most recent Brenta di Notte. Both are lovely pens to own and write with.

Such a cool brand but the price value is just horrid for montegrappa. I have no interest in a steel nib cartridge converter north of $100, really.

thank you David. This looks really nice. Very similar in size and shape to the Conklin All american raven black but this cap is level with the barrel

Love that nib. Thanks for sharing all your treasures. Hope you’re well. Had hoped to meet you in ATL, but had an appointment I couldn’t change.
is there any hope? can we see a review from you of elmo 02? I cant find much about the elmo 02 ):
Thanks for the review David. I would love to see more ink reviews from you and not just the newer ones, I would love to see some universally loved ink review series as well.
Batuhan Erdir like Pilot Iroshizuku Kon-Peki... Many like, but some say it is overrated. Would like to hear some more opinions about it.
At 0:36 is that really a box, in a box...in a sleeve?
I mostly like the way this pen looks. It would look nice in like a matte black or a rain forest green
Thank you, David.
Great review, David, & the Montegrappa Elmo is a refreshing change from their prior more artsy & expensive models. Thank you.

Great, I’ve been looking forward to an affordable Montegrappa and this fits the bill. Is it available only in black?
There is this model, and then Goulet has an exclusive model which is blue.
Nice ink color!
I wish they would make the Elmo Verde Altipiano a permanent color choice.
I like the Italian flag on the Rubik’s Cubes.
How much is it???
I mention the price near in the 5-minute range...
Sure do have a lot of ressemblance with the Estie...
Far superior to the "Estie"

Too bad Visconti doesn't have an entry level pen.😅
I'm afraid the customer pays at least 75 dollar for the various boxes this pen is in. And another 75 for the branding.
It looks a decent amount like a Pilot Metro
