If you're coming back through Christchurch let me know if you'd like a meal. I'm living with my 89 uear old mum at present. She still is a great cook and like me loves meeting great people like you. There's a spare bed and a couch and we'd love yo chat. I once had the biggest and best Thai restaurant in Christchurch and believe me I loved spending my time with people from all over the planet. They may think differently. Cheers Franjo.

Paid $2 to go into the Riverton museum in 2003. Was awesome! I was the only one there and got to handle alot of cool things, helping the old man with a few chores. Great memory.

Have you been to Pupu springs yet? They're in the Nelson area and are the clearest water springs around. I'm sure you'll love it. Enjoying your posts

Riversdale! I lived there for about a year. My folks ran Blue Diamond Takeaways. I can still remember them bringing lunch orders to school in their wee Anglia. Good times 😊

Glen & Mado since you were in Dunedin overlooking the harbour it was like you found that wee piece of Ireland. Farther south, I was awaiting your return again. Huge contrast’s between areas by a few miles. ( turty maybe 😉)
Thank you for your wonderful content. Gems 💎 the both of you 🫶🏼💫✨

Hi you two, I'm loving your travels you're both so lovely.
I really hope many locals wherever you go are hospitable to you. Im just North of Welllington, on The Kapiti Coast. Id love to cook you a good roast with yorkshire pudding. That 6 out of 10 Roast in Timaru was bland i guess because they use a deep fryer for the spuds and dont roast everything in the oven to get all the flavour out.

James Caddell a 13 year old Whaler-sealer came to this coast in 1802 from Port jackson now known as the Sydney harbor, his crew were killed by local Maori for trespassing. He was spared and lived amongst Maori becoming part of there tribe fighting for them and wearing a 'ta moko' full face tattoo, he married one of the locals having children and venerated as a strong warrior of the Nga Wahi tribe

If you can find the movie 'Two Little Boys' then do watch it. It may be on line. It's hilarious and will give you an interesting perspective on the places you have visited like Cosy Nook, Invercargill and the Catlins. It has a famous New Zealander in it.

I and my cousins spend quite a bit of our school holidays at Orepuki. It can be lovely there, but when its cold its freeeeeezing. Both my grandparents and their son are buried there, I am sure they could have found a warmer place to rest. My family where first settlers to Colac Bay, I hope you guys got a chance to see it. You will know if you did as there is a pub, and a surfer artistic installation there. Sounds like you are enjoying your trip. Actually the lodges are to do with the Masons. I was a member a few years ago, you have to be invited to be a member, nothing to do with the trades. However there are other lodges, which is kinda the same as a boarding house.

That wasn’t Stewart Island. You have to go down to the point and look over to the right. Stewart Island is much bigger and worth visiting - it’s gorgeous. There is a lot of islands on the Foveaux Strait.

If you want to see a kiwi, go to the Westcoast Wildlife Centre in Franz Joseph - I got a really good deal on a 'backstage pass' where you can see behind the scenes of kiwi rearing (it was only about $30 then, but a while ago). I literally got to see a kiwi hatch and then see them in their incubators - they do an amazing job to keep our kiwis from extinction and you get to hear all about it ❤
