On behalf of Finland, thank you. These are basically very iconic songs all, people in Finland will recognize them. Most of them we hear still in the radio, so I feel this was a good compilation. And it was great to see your cute doggos again!
I think I'd say Tapio Rautavaara may have been the biggest icon of like the classic era. Singer, Olympian (won gold for javelin toss in 1948), movie actor...

A lot of the big hits in that era were tranlations of songs from other countries. Like Olavi Virta's "Hopainen Kuu" was a translation of an Italian song called ”Guarda che luna” by Gualtiero Malgoni.
This is flawed list, no Metal Bands at all, like Nightwish most sold Finnish Artist as well as HIM, Stratovarious, Poets of the Fall etc. really successful Artist/Bands Globally and then you list Behm/AnnaPuu etc. like marginal success Artists - This is not 100 years of Music, this should be called This is not 100 years of POP Music, which is NOT the only Genre around ..
Did you miss the part about the video being "Suomenkielisen Musiikin Kehitys 1924-2024"? The list isn't about Finnish music in general, but about Finnish music that is sang in the Finnish language. The bands you listed all sing in English and would not be eligible to represent the main point about the original video. I'm not personally a huge fan of some of the choices included in the video, but they still are big hits that have garnered success and most people in the country have heard before.
The compilation itself was very, very annoying, as the songs weren't always even one whole verse long so that one could get a proper understanding of them... 🫣😢😒 Would have been better with fewer songs but longer examples. 😥💔
