    Another option for doing it yourself at home would be to take the nut off, relieve the pressure from the bolt then slide it out an inch and cut the head off the bolt. Then remove it the opposite direction and replace the bolt with a new one inserting that one from the opposite direction as well.

    Why did frtlnr not just put the bolt in from the outside to make it easier?

    • @preston9412
      @preston9412 Месяц назад

      My guess would be to make it easier to inspect to make sure the nut is on and tight.

    Not really on topic but I know you got the answer. You're the man. I'm hearing/feeling a knock from the front end when turning at low speed. The harder/faster I turn, the worse it is. Could it be motor mounts? Or some bushings? Thanks.

    I think FL should have made a bigger cab mount, like a double sized one.
    People call our FL's freightshakers. Even a fresh truck gets tossed a lil more by strong winds than Volvo or KW.. but i like Cascadias the best. Havent driven a Peterbilt snd dont really care to. Back in the 70's and 80's growin up i liked KW's and Petes the most. Freightliner used to be White-Freightliner.. then the companies mustve seperated. White later disappeared.

      Thanks for watching and reaching out. The cab mount itself is a descent size and about the same as the other makes out there.They do last quite a while but if it hasent been done by 500k than it will deff be time to get it replaced. Being in multiple diff trucks I do feel FTL has the look and best layout inside there trucks.But I Never get to drive them for more than 20 min so I rely on your expertise there..

    Judging by mileage on mine it needs to be done. And by how harsh it rides. But when mechanic is trying to move it with a prybar it seems ok. Could it still be bad? I know it wasn't changed in last 700k miles or longer.

      @bustedknucklebydieseldr3228  5 месяцев назад +1

      I would plan to have these checked every 250k miles. They are very hard rubber but will crack like everything else due to age. I would suggest getting your replaced.

      Thanks for watching and reaching out. Look up Milwaukee battery operated impacts. There’s a whole line of sizes depending on your needs. The 3/8 is plenty powerful and can handle quite a bit of jobs. My go to one.

      Could do ,just gotta watch the fender and washer reservoir to ensure it doesn't get to close to them. But realistically these mounts should last 500k miles so once in a basics trucks life is about average.

    Man u r soo kool for setting up to video these repairs.. thas goin the extra extra mile just to do that. May RUclips reward u greatly for it.
    Im pretty sure i need todo cab mounts on my 2011 Cascadia, and i strongly suspect the right side.
    I screen shotted the part number then read where u said to go my vin number...
    What year Cascadia was this u fixed the cab mount on? Ill assume its pre 2019 cause i donr think any of those will need one just yet.
    I think the part number u showed will be good for my situation but i will verify by vin.
    Curious to know if im guessing right about it and using your part number due to this problem usually occuring in the higher mileage trucks. My shht got 1mil, 70k Lol
    Take care man, reply if u get a chance. And Bless up to u. U really help all of us out here.

      Appreciate your support and thank you for watching. You know I cant do it without people like you watching and commenting.Plus feedback is helpful for new ideas.
      You are correct the new cascadias started production in 2018 with the new body style.
      I believe the one in my video was from a 2016 model. All the older ones im pretty sure had the same part # but there always a curve ball somewhere so its always best to double check.
