- Do you have issues with a cab that’s to loose. A little to much side to side movement. Or maybe some knocking from below. One area to check among others is the cab stabilizer rod. A stiffer ride goes a long way. Check yours today for a cracked or pushed out bushing
And dont forget life is like a box of chocolates, never know what your gna get.--gump

Dude this is the ONE and only video on RUclips that discusses this rod. Trust me I've been searching for over a year. Thank you
Thanks for watching and glad you came across it. Hope it helps.
Hey guy: thank you, thank you!! I drive an intnl LT and the cab does a hula dance going down the road; and if i'm in the slip stream of another truck...? Hoo boy; time for the sea sickness bag! Recently had a company mechanic say "we couldn't find anything wrong". Yeah right. I'll have THIS checked out right away. Again, thanks much!!!😊😊
Good stuff you just answered my concern. Damn cabin has been rocking like a boat.
Wow man I’m sitting here watching this video. I always rolled my rig twice this week because of this same exact problem thought it was my cab shocks because I noticed one leaking then changed my steer shocks out. Went to go pick up my load Tuesday night pulling off my yard making a right turn all my weight shifted to the drivers side. And you can feel the passenger side come up off the ground. And no ones had been able to tell me what was the problem until now that I’ve seen this video. So in the morning I will be have this part on my rig looked at and replaced cuz most certainly my truck is rocking side to side like some good late night hokey pokey🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for watching man. These trucks definitely get some abuse and most bushings have a hard time keeping intact after so many miles. I would also check ur cab mounts as they often get forgotten about. That , the shocks, and the cab bar are are related to shaking cab. Good luck out there.
When the cab is a rockin' don't bother knockin' lol
Good video!!
Thanks for the videos. Could you do one replacing HVAC blower in the front.
What is function of this bar?
And what are signs if this bar goes bad?
Hi.
How long it takes to replace this rod with new one?
I mean what us time frame of this job?
@@inderveerbilling great question. With the right tools out repair can be done in 10 min
Hey boss man what’s the signs of a bad front springs on a century class 2006? I already replaced gearbox. Front shocks, rear shocks, kingpins, cab shocks and cab torque bar. Truck has new tires all good air pressure. The truck feels sometimes hard to control and steer like I’m all over the road it’s improve with all those parts I mention that got replaced but I feel it can be much better still feel like the front tires are on a ice ring. That’s why I’m thinking it’s the springs but don’t want to throw that much money at it if that’s not the issue. What about the rear torque bars?
Great question and thanks for reaching out. If the truck feels like it’s all over the road than I would pursue steering components. Drag link, tie rod ,kingpins, wheel bearings, and tires. I see you’ve replaced a couple of those which is great. But the problem has to be in the front end. Springs usually make noise when turning either direction or sag and you’ll notice a lean. I wouldn’t say they’d cause loose steering. But you are on the right track. Have the bearings checked, tie rod and drag link. Being an 06 they have got to be bad if they haven’t been replaced yet.
Hey I'm having the same problem. I bout American new steer tires, kingpins replaced and front new shocks, new wheel hub and bearings both sides. 3 wheel axle alignment and my truck Is still all over it has got a little better but I know it could be better.
I have a 2014 cascadia that pulls to the left under acceleration have changed the toshin bar, Tire rod and tire rod end.. What do you think this could be
Great question. I would start off with an alignment. Any change in toe will cause uneven wear and pull. That or tires cupping will often cause this.
I have a similar issue, but my cab doesn't rock side to side. when ever I hit a dip on the road it kinda goes up from the back and hits back down hard. I already replaced the cab shocks, cab airbags, and the cab leveling valve. Do you think this sway bar could be the issue? I've never replaced it before.
Great question and thanks for reaching out. First you Gta find out what is hitting. Could be some loose mounts causing it to flex to much. Would hate to guess. Have someone shake cab while you watch all the components.
do you fix you problem?
Video on brake airline back feeding thought dash valves
Warning brake on beep when driving?
Where do u find the connections to theses to switch at. The 2 opt switch on the dashboard
Every truck is spec’d different so switches aren’t always there. For the most part ftl uses the same dash harness regardless of specs. If u pull the dash panels off they should be wrapped up in the harness. If there not there than ur outta luck
When I'm cornering it feels like my truck is about to tip over and I have to let out of it. Could this be my issue?
Good question man. I believe there is more than one factor contributing to that concern. This may be part of it but I would also check out other items like cab bushings, engine mounts, and shocks. They all play a part in keeping everything tight. Hope that helps
Will that Cause it to be unstable going down the road rockin
Not so much as to say unstable but it will help control that side to side movement from getting out of control.
Did you fix this issue i am having the same problem I know it's been 3 y would like ro know the answer
What do you use for editinf videos?
Pic play post but still looking for a great editor program
My stabilizer bar is shifted and I cannot push the sleeper cab to put the boat in there what should I do
Most times the bar is shifted over. Make sure your on flat ground so the cab isn’t leaning than you should be able to unbolt it. You may have to beat it out of it’s stuck in place. And on rare occasions you might need a low profile Jack to raise the cab for better fittment or use the air bags to lift it up.
