Nicely done. They closed our local Safelite Shop. So now they just come to home/work. Figure, for all the shop&rent savings, two techs could do all jobs. But apparently this guy knows how to do 2 peoples job by himself. Hopefully he gets paid for 2 people.
I've always had excellent experiences with Safelite. I used to drive 30,000+ miles a year for work and have replaced windshields with them on nearly everything I've owned over the years. Never a single issue with their installation, and they're probably the only company worth using nowadays with all the sensors and stuff built into these modern vehicles. I was a little nervous about all the electronic stuff when I had my windshield replaced on my 2016 Ram within 6 months of buying it new, but they installed it perfectly with all the sensors. I'm not sure how much more it would cost you per year for insurance, but if you find yourself replacing windshields fairly often, it might be worth having a low deductible and just going through insurance. They only view it as an incidental and won't raise your rates (unless it's excessive windshield replacements, I'd imagine). I almost always carry a $100 deductible or less for this exact reason. I know when I got my Ram done, it was a $700 OEM windshield and it only cost me $100. Just a thought I had when you mentioned the price. I personally can't stand driving around with a cracked windshield. I'll usually fill my chips ASAP, but once the cracks start to grow, I just go ahead and replace them. This is precisely why I'm probably never going to tint my windshields, because with my luck, I'll have to replace the darn thing within a month or something! 🤣
I’d go with full tint on the dmax, I have 20% sides and back, 50% full windshield with 6” 5% brow. 50% doesn’t seem like much but gives it a good appearance without drawing a lot of attention from the law
Safelite is overpriced. I had a Silverado that they quoted me over $300 for a new windshield, I found a local independent windshield company that replaced it for $175.
Bought my 1997 ford f150 4X4 new still have it 4.2 love it. It's like driving a hot rod, I guess because it's 5 speed stick. It also has the shifter on the floor for the 4 wheel drive.
I love the look of the Duramax however I’m a ford guy 2007 Lincoln Town Car, 1994 7.3 F250 pickup and a 1997 F150 pickup. But that red cats eye is “Fire”

I have the top and bottom brow on my Ram and I didn’t think I’d like it but it’s awesome. It’s lifted so you don’t really see the bottom one unless you’re fairly far away but it really does cut down on the glare while driving.

I’d like to see the top and bottom tint?!! Never seen that before, I think that would be super cool and how about ceramic tint? Clear? Keep up the incredible work!!👍
Like most older people I have had several windshields done. I've gone the cheapie route as well as Safelight and by far it is worth every penny for Safelight. Never a problem like with some of the cheapies. Always a knowledgable, careful installer. Must have a personality profile as part of their hiring process, those guys are never mean or flustered.
Keep your eye out for a decent nissan titan. They’ll be doing away with the Titan as a whole next couple years. I think itd be sweet to see you mess with one before long

It’s cool to watch the crazy vids from all the bigger channels sometimes but most of the time I just want to see shit that I could also possibly do to my own truck. I’m more than likely never going to install a $15,000 exhaust on my Lambo so I’d rather watch these. 😂
i used to have 35 on my windshield with a 10 inch brow of 5%. i loved it but i wanted to go a little darker. now ive got 20% with a 14 inch brow of 2.5 and absolutely love it. it gets sketchy sometimes at night like turning and stuff but other than that i would recommend it
i got a new windshield yesterday, and i went home going 45, no dirt roads, and no bugs, i looked down and it’s already cracked, i kept my windows down and everything, soft closed my doors
After the installation did you have any problems with halos from oncoming traffic at night ?, I had safelite come out and replace the windshield on our car once and wasn’t to happy with the outcome.
You paid for your windshield to be replaced? I got mine done for free because we paid additional fee with our insurance in order to not have to pay for stuff like that just like the act of God like if a deer comes out in the middle of the road and you hit it. Insurance will not hurt you for it because it wasn’t your fault.

You may have to wait a couple weeks to get some tint when I had my windshield and back window replaced on my truck the local tint place said they wanted it to cure for about 3 to 4 weeks before they try to put some tint on it and putting pressure on the window by squeegeeing it and risking it coming out lol.

I won’t tint mine because I’m worried about it at night. I already have issues with seeing at night with my side windows at 20.

It only take 4 hours for the outside to cure then ur fine on tent but it doesn’t take weeks
