Whoa! Very cool video. Love the new SkyLabs Neon. Really special gift for sure. Feeling the "Love" from your stereo family. The new Skylabs light is great! Congrats.
What's really neat is that you just perfectly captured that little section of Valley Junction. I've never lived there, but I've spent much time there, from drinking at Giffs with regulars, and helping evacuate people in the '93 flood. The Thursday "farmers" market used to be a great thing, now it's not so much. Although the music afterwards is always fun after a few beers.
Ya, the airport was well represented.
There used to be a wooden oval racetrack there - somewhere, can't remember exactly where. Like in the early 1900's.
I don't own any vintage stereo equipment. I have no idea where Valley Junction is. I've never been to Iowa, let alone West Des Moine. But, I absolutely love this channel you have and keep coming back. This and Harry's Garage are my two subscribed channels. Thanks Kev! P.S. just bought a record weight.
Love this place, I live in Mexico since Retirement But visit my Daughter who lives in West Desmoines Ia, Go there each time i come back!!
If you did have the occasion to come to Des Moines, IA, you'd find the people genuinely happy to have you visit. No matter where you are in the city, everywhere (including WDM/Valley Junction) is no more than 15 minutes drive.

Hey Kevin & Team Skylab, Yes Great new Sign, & Bless Charly's heart for going old school neon, rather than the new LED Stuff, Just works so much better for that design, & I that is coming from an LED Guy. LOL! Thanks also for the short tour outside the shop, I Used to restore buildings back in the day, so I Really appreciate those buildings & Small towns that value the old architecture! I can't wait for the next video, that features the new Sign behind you. Keep making it happen, I am looking forward to coming for a visit once i Retire in a couple years. 'Bucket List' ! God Bless!
Great new sign !! You have a bunch of cool nostalgia in that little corner -- "Blown Away", the oil Rain Lamp, AND that Zenith Tube Caddy on the shelf. Only a few of us even remember seeing one of those in action. Saw an old RCA one, the other day, but I don't remember exactly what video I was watching. I've gotta drive up to see y'all. Guess I will have to drag my wife with me. Sadly, she will temper how much stuff I haul back to Georgia. As always, truly enjoyed this.

It's 63° F right now here in southwest Ohio. I was out doing yard work in a short sleeve shirt, but they are saying cold and snow next week. That sign is pretty cool; you oughta sell them.

I love how you squeeze all you can in that tight space. Same here..... 6000+ pieces of vinyl in 900 sq. feet of living space is challenging.
My buddy had that exact same cassette tape holder on the wall in his bedroom. He cherished it, and was always making compilation tapes to introduce me to new music. I never would have been an ELP fan if it wasn’t for my friend Kurt.
Nice star indeed, but, it needs a better background. That brown particle board stuff is not doing anyone any favors. Maybe some sort of reflective material - make that star POP!

Yo, those jbl northridges always seem to have failed tweeters and caps. Had to repair 4 out of 4. So i upgraded the horrible stock caps with sonicaps and mills resistors. Opened up the soundstage and clarity nicely.
