There was suppost to be another game by antimatter, but EG7 closed antimatter down. (the game in question is called '83'). But unfortunately they had to close it down, it had so much potential.
@@norooerg9087 it looks like that game is in the hands of a new studio made up of old AntiMatter employees, and is currently in active development/closed alpha testing, so hopefully we'll learn more sometime soon
The game has a *ton* of really cool sim-lite features. * Unlike 99% of games where the iron sights are always perfectly aligned, your front and rear sights will jump around a lot under rapid fire so it's nearly impossible to keep the point of aim centered, it will naturally move around with recoil. This means the rifle zeroing is accurate and the battle-zero for AKs of 300m works perfectly. * The damage model includes the spine and the heart and other major organs. Spine/heart/headshots are instakills while major organ hits usually cause bleeding. * You automatically will rest your weapon against cover, no need to manually mount the gun. * Like in RO2, every map has an ambient temperature which affects how quickly the MGs heat up and cool off. * The grenades for each side work accurately: the North's potato-mashers start to cook the moment the string is pulled, the South's M61s only start to cook after the arming lever is released. By default, players only let go of it when throwing the grenade but you can manually release the spoon with the middle-mouse button. Most people don't know about this so you can get a lot of sneaky kills with M61s. * The RPG is somewhat realistic in that unlike in most games, the worst place to be when facing an RPG is on the other side of a wall, RPGs will do RPG things and kill through cover. * Weapon recoil is mildly affected by how much ammo is left in the gun; less rounds left, more recoil.
It's a near perfect "realism-lite" shooter, I may always gravitate towards games like combat mission or squad where realism is considered a main facet of gameplay or atleast they try to make it be. RS2 does some things those shooters don't, and maybe should. Overall it's one of the best multiplayer fps' made.
@@jameshickson8174 Hue City is awesome ngl, Hill 937 is definitely not the best map but the look is just awesome imo. Weapon selection is also great, I would like some pump action shotguns on the viet side but even the double barrel is good.
The thing I love with RS2 besides the gunplay is the fact that It's a team shooter game but both teams are so different yet it's still balanced! The South fighting armies got more modern & automatic weapons. They got air support that can be called in by the commander & helicopters (Cobra, little bird & troops transports) that can be flown by the team. They can also spawn directly on the squad leader. The North fighting armies got traps that they can place down, tunnels that work as spawn points & more sneaky commander support (an example is that the commanders can spawn all dead teammates on top of him, which is perfect to suddenly take a point or defend one that's about to be run over.). Sure this game ain't perfect but there's no other game like it, which is why I come back every now and then for a session of "Did that bush just talk?".

I wish they would make a sequel to this. It's my favorite shooter. The M16 is the most accurate rifle at range outside of snipers, you just have to use the range setting and single-shot mode.
The only bad thing is that the m16 can only have zeroes at 250 meters and 400 meters, it doesn't go per hundred meter like most other rifles. I wish the devs got a chance to put 83 out I'm sure it would have been everything this game was and more.
I actually still love playing this. Timeless game
Pretty certain I saw you in game at some point and totally didn't believe it was you. Thanks for bringing attention to RS2. Great community trying to keep this awesome game alive.
This game is just so perfect the realism is good but there is way more action than many other tactical shooters also i just love how deep the character customization is and running around like rambo or Mr T with an M60
Man, the ambience and the looks of this game is always really appealing. The variety in guns; the environmental design and details...
Finally! Someone shows some love to RS2!!
This game was amazing. I don’t normally play pc games.
(I don’t have the rig)
Xbox was my main.
But I did pick it up on sale a few years back. I absolutely loved the game. Even though I was absolutely terrible at K&M.
I was really sad it didn’t come to Xbox series x and Ps5 like with hell let loose.
It think it would have done very well there.
I wasn't expecting OperatorKrunk in this video and his love of the M14.
It will be a very sad day when there's no more active servers for this game one day! What a great first person shooter, definitely one of my favourites! As a military veteran and fanatic online first person shooter gamer, this is the best true to warfare game I have ever played! What a joy to experience and great fun. I advise all first person shooter fanatics to experience this game before it's gone(or hopefully not I pray). Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
Started replaying and am hooked again. Commander gameplay FTW
sad to see this game is dead in asia, one of the best vietnam war game ever
If im not mistakin
the previous game they made (Red orchestra2) also has crouch sprinting
Just bought this game yesterday and fully agreee with you. This game is definitely worth it even for 2024
Love this vid
I'm just commenting to show off my new check mark
Too real
I Haven’t played in years but I’m glad the community is still alive and well.
"That damn peice of paper!"
If you know, you know 😂
Barely holding Firebase Georgina from the last point is the epitome of a good Rising Storm 2 match, nice. Apart from C (and obviously F) that map is a nightmare to defend, but victory is so sweet
F is easy to defend if you retreat to it after losing C. The key is to have enough tickets left so you can survive 10 minutes and lockdown
So so so underrated game
Bought the game on sale during the pandemic. One of the best Vietnam based game thhat I've bought and still to this day play from time to time.
I need to get back on this. RS2 was always one of my favorites. Arma has always been my #1, but there's mechanics in this that no other game can beat.
i loved the voice acting drewski it was so good especially the kronk voice
The little ding when you get headshots in this game is so satisfying.....
I still play religiously lol, after a while your map knowledge gets ridiculous
I really like the campaign mode for multiplayer makes each match more intense knowing it goes towards winning the campaign
