What a beautiful evening to remove bees from the top of a home roof. We worked methodically to find the bee nest and not damage any of the honeycombs while opening it.
These bees decided to build only in the small section on the edge of the roof and the comb was not built in the clean strips we are used to.
There was lots of cleaning and scraping to get everything out, but we managed to find some decent comb with brood to place in our frames.
Of course, we filled the gap with ceiling insulation once done and replaced the tiles back to ensure it would be watertight.
