The only time we see his left hand is at 0:34 and while I don't see the ring it's possible he has it hidden in his fist. In fact, I went back through the last episode of Season 2 and the recent PV showing Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang on some sort of trip (possibly the overseas one that was mentioned), and the ENTIRE TIME, Liu Xiao either has his left hand in his pocket or (in the one PV) far away and we can only see the back of it.
