- I interviewed the Co-founder of Wicrypt, Mr Ugochukwu Aronu. Wicrypt is a Nigerian-based startup that provides a platform for users to share their internet bandwidth and earn money in return. Essentially, it creates a decentralized network of Wi-Fi hotspots by allowing individuals or businesses to monetize their Internet connection.

Love this, this will be huge for developing countries that desperately need better and cheaper internet
This wicrypt will takeover the world!.
Smart Model if they can hold it up.
The problem with stuffs like this is scaling.
@@AuduBuba they are hoping in high levels of purchase to help shoot the value of their crypto but if that fails the whole model fails

Ugochukwu Aronu 👏🏽👏🏽
Oga valor na only water you de give your visitor's 😅 oh boy 9ja de hot, no more free food😂
This is awesome 👏
Wow I know him Ugochukwu
Interesting project, however, this whole model is driven by the demand for mobile internet data by users, and also, how hosts on the Wicrypt network get their data bundle for reselling to users is through local ISPs. Will there not be some reactions or pushbacks from ISPs or MNOs seeing that, that will affect their revenue; if some people are buying in bulk from them and reselling at lower rates to others?
And when you say you plan to give out the devices to SMEs this year, do you mean at a reduced cost or what's the plan?

What is the best gaming phone for around 150k now
Good day sir please between 120k to 150k what is the best gaming phone I can get now
❤
My problem with this wicrypt is the cost bro. It's too much. How will an average Nigeria afford it
Comparing the cost with what you will gain, trust me, it's worth it
@@chineduibeakanma9185 yes it worth it but the problem is where will you see the money to buy. Then after that how long will you wait to get your return and second money to be funding it like sub. Guy it's too much
Where can you get weed y it??!
In all honesty, I find it unsustainable that, despite the expenditure of $180 on the device and weekly data usage of 15GB, coupled with a mere 30 hours of uptime, the resultant reward of only $1.7 worth of WNT seems inadequate.
What??? 😮😏
Well it depends cause the reward model is based on some criteria you have to meet. You only talked about the uptime and data usage you did not talk about your staking amount neither did you talk about your unique connections.
@@edgarehima945 Exactly. The different criteria must be met. I have 6 devices and I have no single complaining about my earning. Some people think it's about just burning data, like see he mentioned what data he used, whereas it goes beyond just data usage. Ugo in this video mentioned that even if its 1GB you used you still earn.
He addly replied his subscribers very bad
