- Rose watercolor practice tutorial. In this tutorial I'm using only one pigment (you can choose any pigment except yellows). To understand tonal values and realistic form - amazing practice to do! Full watercolor painting tutorial is available on my Patreon channel and is 65 minutes long.

🖌️MATERIALS:
Paper - Saunders Waterford, hot-pressed 640gsm, 100%cotton
Pigments - Permanent Rose - try pigment you really like to paint with (except Yellows) if you are missing blue pigment, you can definitely paint a blue Rose :)
Brushes - simple synthetic brush, fine tip synthetic brush
Paper towel

I would have liked to see how you did the drawing on the flower itself (at 5:16 on video), but it looks like it is fast-forwarded on that section. That is the one area that I am still struggling with.
Drawing is something you can practice starting from simple subjects and slowly moving to more complex. It is only a matter of practice. If you like it and want to succeed.
But if you find it frustrating and disappointing you can always transfer.
