Why did you have to level the pole for a self leveling laser level? You just have to ballpark it or just move it until laser stops flashing. That is the whole point of a "leveling laser".
+0x5347 The more plumb the pole, the quicker the self levelling operation works. When you use oneof these in a room for lot of levels it's important it sets quickly so you can get on with the work. If you have all the time in the world and want to wait while the laser sets every time you turn it to a new position just whack it up by all means
I put a screw in each corner of the plate at the top of the pole. This stops it from slipping, which it does quite easily, when clumsy twats walk past and brush against it. This is the only draw back with the pole but if you know that then you can do something about it. Apart from that you can't fault it. If you want a tripod to go with it you can get one off of Ebay.
