Both my grandmothers have gone with the LORD, my irish indigenous one sang this to my dad... my italian chilean grandma loved the LORD, i miss her and this makes me think of her.

I have a question for you and hope it's not overly intrusive: as you work on these pieces and record them, do you find yourself responding to the lyrics, like the lyrics digging in and making a place within you? I've read that some musicians enjoy the genre of sacred music, but don't particularly connect with the lyrics in terms of belief; while for others, the lyrics are a their personal place of being. In my case, most lyrics fly right by me as I enjoy the music itself ... except for the hymns as I get older. They have dug in and just keep collecting new layers of insight and little surprises as I notice a phrase or concept I hadn't noticed before. Well. Just curious. I loved this, and thank you. Your arrangements are a gift that keeps on giving.
