Kris Bowers opens up about his journey to becoming a film and TV composer

CBS News' Michelle Miller spoke with him about his journey scoring films and how he was influence by the Colburn School in downtown Los Angeles, where he took music classes growing up.

Kris Bowers won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Music Direction and Composition for The Snowy Day. He's married to Briana Henry. Briana Henry was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for playing Jordan Ashford in General Hospital. In January 2020, Hans Zimmer was announced as the composer for Space Jam: A New Legacy. By April of the same year, Kris Bowers was announced to be working with Zimmer as co-composers. However, in January 2021, it was officially confirmed that Bowers would receive sole credit.
