Yartin when a company does the right stuff, it doesn't seem like an advertisement.
Like this channel's item on the Bristol Fighter and Top Gear's item on the Alfa Romeo Disco Volante, this is mainly a way of showing something virtually unknown to a greater public. That puts it dangerously close to an ad, but I think it's acceptable.
He said the exact same thing in 37 different ways.

The Defender could have continued with a different engine and anyway I thought we were leaving the EU so can do what the fuck we like. Jeep and Mercedes can still produce half decent 4 x 4s why can't we? = Because it's Indian now.
Exactly, they aren't even in the EU and don't have to abide by EU regulations
North American if you’re going to sell into the eu market, you have to abide by eu regulations which until 4 years time, still applies to the ukz

Had a 110 XC went down to collect it from Scotland. It was TERRIFIC for the first year and a half, and I do go off road in difficult terrain, however unfortunately the engine blew. It was under Warranty and I took it to a Land Rover Agency near Twisted, who referred me to them. I was given a courtesy Land Rover and that Company was EXCELLENT in Yorkshire. Unfortunately Twisted washed their hands of it, were not interested in anything else despite my concern about the possibility of Land Rover refusing to replace engine with the reason that it had been upgraded by Twisted. I had lost confidence and decided then to sell it and AGAIN Twisted wanted NOTHING to do with it no offer to sell for me nor take it back for their own stock. Will not deal with them again. I sold it to MONARCH GARAGE in GLASGOW who did actually give me a very very fair price as they sold it for me and only took a percentage. It WAS a great LANDROVER and I have driven MANY, from my Forces days to Overlanding to India in a Series 11A . I now have a great wee 90 and bought it from,,,,,,, MONARCH!!
In 25 years i can have a brand new Defender! I mean a 25 year old defender... I just love U.S. regulations

Awesome trucks but please remember one thing, friends don't ever let friends drive with Raised White Letter Tires. Those are never ever appropriate for any application.

The 90/110 and Defender were/are excellent things, but these strange Twisted creations are a sort of onanistic fantasy for children who never quite got past Tonka toys.
I have to say they look lovely, but somehow they manage to look slightly too comic-book at the same time as appearing MASSIVELY self-conscious on a slightly geeky way.
I used various L/R products for work over several years, but cannot see any situation where a Twisted version would do better than the factory model.... Sorry
My pal has a defender. Slow, bad shifting, rattly, crappy, shitty. Poor build quality and a pig. The end.

clever and respect to the engineers, but why bother with serious power? Just buy a proper fast car in the first place ( i have a 4x4 and love the slow agricultural power also i have an audi rs5) only huge power is needed when say mud bogging that sort of thing which is mint!

Does anyone make the body 6" wider (not wheels and arches), like they did with the original Morris Minor, cut it down the middle and put 4 inches in.

I'm loving this as I was always a defender admirer, however I like the v8 versions the best and twisted is good because it'll want me get one due to a more less agricultural feel and more personal luxury touch. Iv made my mind up rather than a g wagon id love to get this hands down .

Also engine options 6.2 is in the flying huntsman xs station special but iv also seen a v8 4.6 engine which twisted never mentioned here but seen it on sale as a twisted conversion ..??

So what's the difference between Overfinch and Twisted? Why would I want to choose one over the other?
Overfinch used to modify Range Rovers in the same way Twisted do Defenders. However they went busy and now the name is used by a company that blings up Range Rovers.

Very Cool! A few months ago I was telling a friend if you could get a GM V8 in there, maybe a tranny, redo the suspension and get a better wheel set up they would be more fun. In the states with limited access to parts and knowledge about the vehicle people just get a jeep to tinker with.
Might have to do a family vacation to the UK to check this place out!

I fackin love what your company TwiSted is doing as regarding modding staunch, rarely looked @ machines. I'm modeling my car modding garage after you guys!! Would drop by for a tour the next time I'm in the UK & Welldone to the Xcar team for making me smile & feel warm inside with finding unique,passionate companies that don't only sell cars.
I want a snorkel on the right side of my left-hand-drive 2000 or newer Defender 90, and a small winch in my front bumper, and a removable exhaust pipe extension even to the roof. You don't seem to have that.
I don't see the craze with upping power on these kinda cars. What i want from a car like this...Miles per gallons,Reliable ( not messed with) and decent Torque.
I love these Defenders, like you said you make a good vehicle better especially looks wise for me, even just the white writing on the larger beefier wheels is a massive improvement, the box shape and rugged looks are what defines this model though, I heard you mention the new defender? What a mess that is!! It's more of an aerodynamic shape which has already destroyed it in my eyes! It's an abomination and all the old shapes need saving if there not going to make it anymore! What a terrible idea by Land Rover!
even tho' this is a Euro car/suv fabrication shop... it great to see something different than the same ole shit. I never looked @ Defenders when they came 2 the states but I'd like to have 1 after seeing what it could be modded to be
