  • Welcome back for Episode 2 of my “Productive Week In My Life” series. Today, I’ll walk you through Monday-Wednesday of my week, with all of its ups and downs.
    Though I don’t discuss it in the video, current events the week of this filming definitely made it difficult to film and follow through, but I hope that the tips you hear in the video about high energy vs low energy tasks and staying flexible are helpful for you.
    I never anticipated this would be a multi-video series, but I didn’t want to make any one video too long! So, here’s episode 2. There will likely be a video 3 and 4 coming up this weekend, so stay tuned!

    Thank you so much for being open when things aren't going as you hoped! I struggle so much with the negative self-talk you spoke about and it's so freaking isolating. You feel like you're the only person in the world who can't follow through with simple tasks. Seeing someone else go through the same things I'm going through makes it so much easier to refute that little voice. So thank you - I know what you're sharing isn't easy, but I wanted you to know that it made a huge difference to at least one person.

    Creator’s brains are always working, even when on a break or sleeping, so I tell myself to relax & enjoy being off the clock. And, as an empty nester, I’d say enjoy time with your youngsters while you can; they become teenagers, & then adults, too quickly & work will still be there when kids don’t need you so much. 🤗 💕

    Just try to ignore the negativity and toxic behavior. I know it’s easier said than done but I feel like you have really great coping mechanisms in place💕👍🏽 thanks for sharing!!

    As always your honesty is refreshing. I was upset that this quater had not been going well but your explanation of low energy really verbalized how I have been feeling. I am excited to enter the next quater with a positive outlook and I will do what I can to work on the goals I can this quater.

    I considered not commenting but decided to go for it even though you did not ask for it haha to say that I appreciated you making this series.
    I don't know if you could tell when you were editing, but the honesty and transparency of your content and intention was felt 100%.
    i could tell that although you struggled with your own daily flow of things, you wanted to display an example of imperfection that was still genuine to your story but not damaging to your mental state.
    I am learning so much about myself and now that Saturn Retrograde is here, i am feeling the push for responsibility and clarity of self even stronger. i hope you can find solace in the chaos of your mind and can find the vibrance in the peace. i can't wait to see what else you have in store. also!! i loved the sneak peaks of book covers on your computer before you blurred the important ones haha. Great teaser lol

    Hi Sarah, just wanna reach out and say I SOOOO relate to what you were saying about wallowing and giving in to the negativity. I do this *constantly* and it's one of the reasons I've never found a planning system that works for me (yet!) because it reinforces my perfectionism, and then if I don't do what I said I would in my plans, I take myself out back and knock my teeth out over it. So thank you so much for sharing, because as much as I don't wish it on you, I totally feel your pain!

    I don't even suffer from any significant past trauma, and even still I'm sometimes an anxious mess, yelling mean things at myself in my brain. This advice really helps. Thanks for your videos, Sarra, I always light up whenever I see you've posted!

    Thank you for always being so honest, and for sharing how you deal with and even continue to be productive in those low-energy times. I struggle intensely with that, and the negative self-talk that comes with it, and the indie world is so often all gogogo, write more, grind harder, that it's really kind of a relief to hear you say that it's okay to be kind to yourself and to manage your mental health despite the pressure to always be "on."

    I know some people have done portions reviewing your program but maybe a future Collab video idea how someone uses this program as an author who isn't full time yet would be cool.
    So much of my day is dedicated to full time at least 50hr week job its hard to get all the task accomplished

    One of the things I've done this time around is giving each task a label of 'low', 'medium', and 'high' energy tasks. Because of my chronic pain, productivity has been a challenge, especially since I am a hard worker. But knowing which tasks to do when has helped a lot. So I'm looking more at my energy levels instead of creating a set schedule.

    Loving this series! Your tips and tricks for working through all the roadblocks have put the inspiration back in my planning - which is a huge energy driver for me, but I’d lost it completely after a long period of burnout and negative self talk over never being able to execute those big beautiful plans. (My Futuristic strength was feeling very broken!) HB90 has really helped me get focused in a sustainable and healthy way this year, and these new tips are helping me tweak the plan in the right places because as a single parent my weeks never go as planned, and my energy rarely matches the tasks on my daily plans, but MAKING the plans is energy producing and when they do work, I feel superhuman - so that tip was extra useful Thank you so much for making this series - you are a beautiful, generous human and I am so grateful for the work you do. ❤️

    I really like that philosophy of not letting ourselves be stuck on "can't do this, now my plan is trash" mentality and instead do a smaller, low energy, low thinking task that will still let us progress forward to where we want to be😍 I really need to make new list for this summer tasks and make sure to include lots of playing with kids time around what I need to do or I will let myself be convinced to play with them all day and let the house turn into chaos as it happened this week which means my tasks are now higher in difficulty 😅

    I love your videos because they’re not only informative, but encouraging. Thank you for being so transparent. I suffer from depression, anxiety, and lots of negative things due to a traumatic experience and sometimes find myself spiraling.     Thanks for sharing. Remembering my why’s (when I remember to remember them) help me to move past negative thoughts or self doubt. Re-reading the sections in the hb90 worksheet sections about my ideal life, letter to my future self, vision board, reasons for the goals set and the goals themselves, reignites my spirit and energy. Also remembering that some goals take the spotlight while some others need to temporarily need to take the back burner knowing that everything can’t be done all at once, but it’s still progress forward allows me to give myself grace to continue moving forward. 💕💕💕

    Sarra! Don't be hard on yourself. I swear you get more accomplished than the average person - try not to listen to those negative thoughts, which I know is easier said than done. I love your videos - your honesty and authenticity comes through like rays of sunshine and I always make sure to catch up any videos I've missed. I've got my almost 13 year old hooked on your videos too lol, this after introducing her to your series and as she voraciously reads through them so she can be ready to pounce on Book 12 when the time comes!

    Just wanted to chime in, another EXCELLENT video! Just a wonderful example of how you are living the HB90 system; if you hadn't first identified all of the ways to move the needle this quarter, you wouldn't have the options to choose from to match your energy levels!!! Pre-planning and pre-decision making when you're in the right head space for the win!!!!🥰

    I loved this episode so much! I never understood the point of having a weekly calendar but the way you use makes so much sense :) I struggle with the negative self-talk and sometimes it's so hard to pull myself out of it but I am working on the one day at a time.     Looking at my own planner, I realize I don't use my Daily page much, because there's just too much space. I'm thinking about using a horizontal layout for future Weekly pages because those would give me all the space I need, and I can skip the Daily page altogether.

    Question: why if Monday is already planned out in your ideal weekly do you not wait until you have done something on Monday to add it to the daily? You said so that you know what you want to do but it's on the weekly, I would think then you would use the daily as a record keeper if what got done from the weekly? I LOVE THIS IDEA AND THESE VIDEOS! I really like how you tackle your blocks too.

      I have found that if I show up at my desk on Monday with a more general list on a weekly page, my mind gets scattered and I focus on all the things on that weekly plan. I personally need my Monday on a separate page with each mini task spelled out so I focus only on those items for as long as I can.

    6:20 why do you need the EC planner if you have your HB90 planner? If you need to track your time, you have the hours in your HB90 as well?

      The EC planner is just for social media! I'm not tracking time there but it's just a tool to be able to see nothing but my social media posts and plans for the week so I can make sure visually that I'm posting as often as I want!

      Hi! If you are able to pay in full, you can pay with Paypal! Unfortunately, PayPal doesn't give me the option to set up a payment plan in Teachable but if you need a special arrangement to create a payment plan in PayPal just email me at sarra@heartbreathings.com

    If you have never read the book The Four Agreements, I suggest that you check it out. I use it with clients with great success for changing messages.

      I have this book but haven't read it. When I was separating from talking with my mom she used that book against me telling me I take everything so personally and I'm too sensitive, so I just never picked it back up
