Imma be in here for the whole series. This easily my favorite show of all time. James Gandolfini as Tony Soprano is gold and I think y’all will understand why as y’all continue to watch this amazing show.
Paulie Walnuts is a big part of why this show is gold. Tony Sirico brought so much authenticity and character to that role from the way he delivers the dialog to the mannerisms; for me Paulie is one of the stand out characters in all of mafia fiction.
@@allaboutthemurzic I don’t get peoples obsession with Breaking Bad. I prefer realism in my shows. That’s what I love about Sopranos and The Wire. Breaking Bad is unrealistic in more ways than I care to count. Anyway, without The Sopranos and The Wire there would be no Breaking Bad. The other HBO shows just followed the precedents those two shows set.

Witnesss simply were not willing to speak out against them. By the time this series first aired in 1999 they were about near the end of being able to do this kind of stuff and today in the iPhone DNA age no they can’t and mostly don’t do this kinda brazen stuff anymore but hell yeah they would do stuff like that back from the 1920s all the way up through the 90s . Not majorlity of the time but it definitely happened.
@@host_arnold6187 Al Capones brother Frank beat the hell out of some guy for voting for the wrong person on the Cicero courthouse steps in broad daylight in front of a crowd with the police standing by looking embarrassed because they couldn’t do anything because they knew Al Capone ran the police chief on down. This is the type of organization we are talking about here. There are plenty books written about the real New York Five families. This kind of stuff went down back then. It’s hard to imagine someone getting away with that kind of bold activity in this day but back at their height there are plenty of documented cases of the mob carrying out that kind of just don’t give a dam stuff and nothing happen to them. Lol

Had a long rap sheet and buddied up with all real life Italian mobsters at the time. I think the dude was even an associate for one of the 5 families

I think I remember someone saying (possibly himself in interview) that he didn't want to join the mob because he didn't want to be ordered around. He did his own thing and paid his tributes to whoever he needed to.
Denial, Anger, and Acceptance are emotions of a dying man. You have Jackie, whose into the "acceptance" phase. You have Tony, who is angry that he's witnessing a "beautiful man" get whittled down to nothing by death. You have Brendan, whose natural cockiness has brought him into denial about just how far he overstepped the line with Junior. The hasidic is not bothered by death, seeing as how his murder will bring a "dark cloud" form over his father-in-law's house. And of course there's Christopher getting a crash course in these emotions with Junior's "lesson". Another recurring theme in this episode is the danger of going into territories you know you should stay out of. The Hasidics get involved with Tony (and vice versa, since Hesh warned Tony to stay out of business with them), Artie and Charmaine accept the role as caterers at Tony (with Carmela's change in attitude towards Charmaine at the fundraiser being the impetus for her telling Carm about her fling with Tony), Chris selling crystal meth to Meadow, and Livia beginning her manipulation of Junior .. Brendan gets whacked because he overstepped boundaries an episode earlier.
Artie's wife said what she did to Carmella just to hurt her because she was still sore from being thought of, however briefly, as a servant. Standard female behavior.
Carmela was being superior and condescending to Charmaine and she let her know that they both made their choices and Charmaine is fine with hers. She knows she didn't compromise her morals to live off her husband's blood money.

I have to say that I am such a fan of this series that I have watched reactions to it from probably a dozen different people and you guys are the first and only reactors to notice Meadow and Hunter sweating like that during thier singing at the end of that episode and make the connection to the crystal they had taken. Great job. Keep it up. The Sopranos only keeps getting better each season.
If you guys watching the Sopranos you should watch the movie Goodfellas and Casino, both masterpieces and go very well with this show, gives you a better glimpse at the mob life.
B- I was a huge movie buff back in da day, reason why I miss out on some of the GOAT tv shows. Casino is my favorite mob movie of all time "We got your head in a fucking vice" Love Joe Pesci.
