The tiny segment of 3:08 and 3:09 always reminds me of "Motherstep", the live version of Mothership on Enter Shikaris "Live from planet earth Vol. 3"-Album and I fucking love it. The drummer goes through 4 variations that are perfectly molded out and one of them is this exact kick and china pattern. Addictive as hell. It's at 53 seconds for the first time on the recording.

I got to see them with While She Sleeps, Stray From The Path and Trash Boat in 2019 and even though basically no one there knew them they brought the energy. Also the nicest guys. Me and some friends were hanging out with them and Trash Boat all night
This was a pleasant surprise, never heard them before and loved the mix of all genres. I got a bit of a Chester vibe when listening to the singer... Also as a hardcore fan you've must have listened to Swedish Raised Fist!

The entire Fantasy album is worth listening to. Wake up Call, Scars, Blistering all absolutely necessary to listen to. Also, Rainfall off their upcoming album is a banger as well. The genre fusing in every track would normally be too much for me but they do it in a way that works every time. Really looking forward to the 19th for the new full album.
saw these guys the other night, the pits were fucking brutal but the vibe got killed early, there was a kid who jumped in the pit and straight up got punched in the face and it kinda made every be hesitant to jump in if the kid was there. but when the kid WASNT int he pit it was going fucking CRAZY

I recommend "Midnight" by POLAR. The album "Nova" is already 2 years old and I really enjoyed it. Great band from the UK and very nice guys. They are on the same label as Landmvrks (Arising Empire)
I love how you say they're more like hardcore and I agree. The chorus definitely has that metalcore feel, but the breakdown...that breakdown...definitely deathcore.
There is a band, that I would highly recommend : skalmold An Icelandic band of Viking metal And they did a live concert with the philharmonic orchestra of Iceland so ... Yeah it's epic

These guys are so good, hard to recommend just a single song, since they are all very different. If you want heavy "Rainfall" is a great. If you want melancholic "Paralyzed" gives you that. They even had a song with an extended french rap part on their most recent album - "Visage". One of my personal favourites is "Empty Place", which has just about the perfect mix of everything.
This band is incredible. Flo sounds fucking identical live as well. You should definitely check out the live version of Wake Up Call. Was genuinely blown away by how tight the dude is live. Unreal.
