- We get another fabulous new look at music from Imminence with not one, but TWO songs/videos on the same upload. Their upcoming album, "Heaven In Hiding", is still a few weeks away, but this has me super fired up for this album. In this video we break down the band's gear, talk about Eddie's vocal delivery, appreciate some video production, and talk about how good this band is at connecting with their audience.

I have played the violin for over 10 years but stopped after a few years. I discovered this band from watching your reaction video to “Ghost” and been on a rabbit hole since then. Easily top 3 bands for me. This band inspired me to pick up the violin again. Eddie singing/screaming while playing the violin is such a skill and is very difficult to do. Great reaction!
Lookin forward to this 🤘😭
I played violin growing up. For me I’d imagine singing and also screaming while playing would be very hard.
Not going to lie. His vocals made me tear up the way he sings and screams, it just sounds a lot like Chester. I loaded this video blind didnt even look at what was the band. Never heard them before. The whole band just sounds SO GOOD! They are going in my playlist probably permenently. Thank you for the new band. I'm going to go cry in nostalgia and revel in the new amazing band (for me).
Violin player here, well Viola. And the practise aspect I would say depends on the difficulty of the singing and playing part.
This made me cry and when I showed it to my girlfriend it made her cry too. Imminence is one of our favorite bands, and I’m so glad that I bought tickets to see them in Germany next year. I can’t wait for this album🤘
Eddie says in a story on Ig that they were using cheap gears for the videos, you were right as always 😄 anyway, they deserve millions of views and fans, that are incredibly emotional! My favourite band with no doubt!
Put my pre-order in today. Been listening to Imminence non-stop.
Your reactions are always some of the absolute best. Whether it's energy, enthusiasm, information, you bring it all.
They also need to tour in North America. To me this is the turning point that would make them explode in popularity
This band is UNREAL! Also fresh haircut g
Nice having digital world playing in the background of your intro
Viola player here. Agreeing with fellow violist Zabina here in the comments, singing while playing is definitely a distinct technique and requires specific practice. I caught moments in the video where he was playing without his chin in the chinrest even while not singing, which means he’s probably practiced that specific method quite a bit. Ordinarily when playing a string instrument, supporting it from above and below with your shoulder and chin helps your left hand to move more freely since it doesn’t also have to keep the scroll (or headstock, if you will) from drooping down. But if A) you’ve trained your left hand to do double duty or B) it doesn’t have to do much in that passage anyway, i.e. long notes with few changes, you can probably get away without the chinrest, freeing your jaw up for singing. Might have to check out their other videos for more metal violin, I love when string instruments show up in unlikely genres!
I hit that pre order button so hard when I watched it a week or so ago.
I love how Chasing Shadows really brings the story together and adds small elements from each video to continue the story. The blindfold he's carrying from Ghost, the statue resembling the figure from Temptation, the skull he dug up also from Ghost, the light from Heaven in Hiding. Did I miss any?
I do not play an instrument or sing, so naturally I’m an expert on this, that shit is dummy hard hahaha.
I see the thumbnail with Tank reacting to Imminence in premiere and immediately push the like button. Can’t wait to see this, Imminence are my favorite band with Architects 🖤🖤
I'm a simple man. I see a violin on the thumbnail of a heavy metal reaction, I click! (also I just really enjoy your reactions and have found a ton of new music from you)
I have been listening to this video on repeat since it came out. One of my favorites this year.
Thank you so much for reacting to Imminence. I am a big fan and the joy in your eyes and your kind comments made me so happy. They are indeed an unique band connected with their fans by the high standard of music & video they procure and I believe the connection is given by the trespassed emotions throughout their music. You made me so happy tonight :). Thank you again! Please react more to Imminence! They totally deserve it!
