Unlike a lot of people, I saw it coming. I watched a LOT of Rams training camp and I started hearing it early and often that he was coming along nicely. I made posts calling him the next big thing and I RARELY do that but I saw it in Puka. It was the stuff Stafford was saying early that let me know, though. Once Stafford builds that trust with a WR, that dude is gonna go off. This year will be AS good as last year for Puka. He and Kupp worked all off season and the word is Puka looks leaner, faster and quicker...so, I pretty much KNOW what that means. Some are sleeping on the Rams this year, many people are calling them a 10 win team with a sneak into the post season, I see it different, I think this team is going to be scary good, jumping out early and often of prime opponents.
One thing that this video absolutely misses is the fact that puka was constantly hurt in college. This to me is what put him so late in the draft because he really was always a game time decision at BYU.
@@MofongoSports haha it might not be a lot, but I’m grateful for the community I have! I appreciate the love man, hope you stay around for the content👍
The college game speed data was mentioned by Les Snead in the behind the scenes video of drafting Puka. The Rams prioritise what they call their North Star, which is character, over some measurables. You look at the last few drafts & it's hard to disagree.
Glad to see this video doing well, especially after your other video was a bust (football pun intended) Wait never mind I just saw that the falcons video has over 1k views, my bad
Well they didn’t really miss him, he got drafted. He also ran a slow 40 (for a WR), as you stated. He also went from a P5 school to a non P5 school, so everyone will assume he couldn’t compete at UW. There’s good reason for him to slide, hindsight is 20/20. Brady slid, Purdy slid, it happens.
@darnell They joined the Big 12 the year after he stopped playing for them… thats reality, doesn’t matter if you live on Pluto, still not a member of the Big 12 in football.
They did the same thing to Lil Jordan Humphrey and I've never seen him drop a ball thrown to him in the nfl even if he was double teamed but irrelevant shyt like his 40 time at a combine dropped his stock and kept getting him over look instead of what the kid did once he got in the game but that's the NFL. A lot of great players get overlooked regularly
So true… it drives me nuts that the combine is held in such high regards. Not to say it’s useless but the results from players are not the thing to make or break a player.
The 40 shouldn't still impact draft stock since they can now track how fast a player is in pads during the college games now. But it does Xavier Worthy doesn't have elite speed in pads according to the game data but at 165lbs his 40 hype got him into the first round.
Unfortunately injury got to him. Looking like an amazing year for the Texans. It's fun to see other teams make it in. As for my Bills it's heartbreaking every year lmfao
@@JustAnFootballGuy maybe but puka was the wr1 for the majority of the season until kupp came back and even then was still getting more targets nico collins had like 30 more targets than kupp
This video should be used to show how to start a RUclips channel great editing and great information. I hope the algorithm takes this video
Thanks Louis! I really appreciate that man. I try my best with the time I have .

He might have been injured throughout college. But he still played. He still should have been a higher draft pick
How do you only have 600 subs??? Glad RUclips’s algorithm has been working well because it’s brought me a new great channel

Interesting.. I did not know he had said that previously. Thats a nice insight

I think with his talent, he should have been a 2nd/3rd rounder. It is easy to say that hindsight though.
BYU is P5
@darnell No they weren’t, at any point, while he was there.

Bryce needs a receiver, the shade was dirty. But yeah I’m sure he’s better off at the rams.
Ohh I meant that as a direct at the Panthers bad coaching. But Bryce needs weapons that’s for sure…

Good to know! I didn’t know that about him to be honest. But it is true, one small thing and everyone is down on a guy
Can't believe he was robbed of OROY.
@@RAFAKAUST I know… he definitely deserves it. I know stroud was insane but Puka was up there
Combine stats aren’t everything they run in underwear not pads

Tank dell was better before injury abc wasn’t the wr1 getting every target like puka

That’s probably fair. You could argue Kupp took some targets from Puka as well.
I think the Texans would have gone further in the playoffs if they had Dell.
