@@masch2540 The crowd was great at River plate no doubt, but out of their entire career, it just doesn't happen that their best performance was when they were 60. The Razors Edge tour was the end of AC/DC in their prime. Angus was on top of his game when he was 25-35. That's just the way it works.
I can't believe how badly they shot this. You have 1.6 million people there. Let's not show or hear them. Unbelievable. The Metallica concert completely blows this away, production wise.

It's daytime for metallica so you can gauge the crowds response,but personally ACDC would have had a bigger setlist compared to metallica back then on top of thunderstruck just bring released. But you're right,what's the chances of ever seeing both of these together again? Check out ACDC in Canada 2004, rolling stones headlined but apparently ACDC stole the show
Pantera... you could say that Metallica is better than Pantera if you want, you could say that AC/DC is better, but the point is that AC/DC and Metallica had other concerts very good but for Pantera it was the best Pantera show of all times in my opinion...
As much as I may be biased toward Metallica seeing as I idolise Jason Newsted, even I have to admit that Pantera absolutely annihilated the show and made the whole airfield move around like no tomorrow Dimebag was brilliant at that concert, Vinnie was tight on the drums and powerful, Rex was fantastic there and able to keep the bass going, and I forgot to mention Phil absolutely wrecking the stage and his own vocal cords haha
I can imagine all the other bands there there in the back where like: "damn we have to go up against AC/DC" because as tenical your band may be you can not go against something that is pure rock n roll.
Hate to say it I love AC DC but Metallica's show in Russia was one hell of a show had suck ACDC had to go up after them but thank God ACDC had a good show so it wasn't all bad

awesome footage and audio. The soundboard audio is so dry (minimal low end too, sorry Cliff) - absolutely nowhere for mistakes to hide, every little scrape and scratch comes through. Through headphones you can hear a bit of crowd noise bleeding into the drum and amp mics, especially during Angus' call-and-response part at the start of Jailbreak. Shows you how bloody loud 1+ million people can be.
This doesnt compare to Metallica because they showed the crowd during Metallicas performance. You really felt the energy in that place by the way they filmed it. Cutting back and forth from band to crowd. While during AC/DC they only really focused on the band. Just didn't have that magic to it of seeing 1m people jamming out

"You Shook Me..." will appear again as a live number during the Australian/NZ leg of the tour but mighty and furious "Heatseeker" shall not see the light of the stage since its last performance in Budapest Hungary, August 22.
it's a great show but one thing I think is a shame why did they choose the studio sound and overdubs at donington and let everything be edited with overdubs when it was such a great show and on this show not everything live and no overdubs whatsoever on guitars vocals drums etc? why had they done it that way?
Well the officially released versions on the Live 92 album and the FTATR VHS with all the bands from that show (with these songs) was also dubbed and edited.
Remember this is a soundboard audio here for Moscow. And judging with non soundboard audios like for FTAR, it’s not too far off to see how this concert sounded with the crowd being loud as hell.
Because there were errors in voices, and guitars for example in heatseker, back in black with brian's voice, the vast majority was live, they had to pre-record some parts due to errors in the band, and the most obvious thing was that it wo fuld be released in album, the battery is 100% live

They drop-off both two songs for all shows from August 24 to September 28. "You Shook Me..." live number again for AUS/NZ leg of "T.RE." tour but replaced "Heatseeker" with "Are You Ready".
Both "You Shook..." + "Heatseeker" were drop off from the setlist for the shows from August 24 to September 28.
