Hi. I have the hardwire kit from red tiger f7n dashcam. in my fuse box I have few empty slots but they have only 1 steel connect, apper or on the bottom. I was do so measure and I have the power when the engine ist turn of and when the key ist on. but the parkingmod don't want running. thank you for your help and great video and great job.
I think you may be trying to use a blank fuse position you would need to complete the circuit. Alternatively you could use a piggy back fuse like this amzn.to/3POf6Yz
That is a very good question, when I was installing it I thought there was back up battery in the camera that gave an hour of charge. I was wrong though and I had to move to a constant power supply to use that feature. I have not had any issues with drain though
I didn't use constant power, although I should have. I would advise looking at the fuses that supply constant power and see what they also power and use one that is really not important like a accessory fuse, use nothing that powers something important.
I have just reset my camera and started from scratch to see what I could notice. You must be connected to the camera wifi default password is 1234567890 then the app connects with no issues, its a little slow initially. I hope this helps any more questions please just ask. Thanks for watching.
I know its been a while since you made this video but I have just recently had this dash cam fitted by Halfords. I took the first camera back cause it wasn't turning on until I drove about 4 miles. After me going there about 4 times they fitted another one. At first it was sound and started when I started the car, but just recently the dash cam takes time to start. It now comes on after driving about a quarter of a mile. Is this normal? My car is BMW F45 if this helps.
Hi Ronnie I would say it’s not normal at all. Is your memory card fast enough? I am funnily enough in conversation with Road Angel currently to test some more of their kit I will speak to them tomorrow and ask them, they might even be monitoring this video themselves either way I will get back to you later once I have a response
@@FootstepsTyretracks yeah it's a road angel and 32GB SD card. When I first bought it I swapped out the SD card for a larger one but the technician at Halfords told me that this was the reason why it wasn't working properly. That's why they changed the dash cam cause I was still having the problem.
@@FootstepsTyretracks Just letting you know changing the SD card didn't work. My 32gb is U3 class10 so I didn't think it would make a difference. I've got back to Halfords and they said they could either remove the dashcam and give me a refund or change for another make. I've gone for the nextbase 422gw which they are fitting next week. I went for the Road Angel for its minimalist look, shame about the issue.
Good review, like it👍👍👍, thanks for sharing my friend 😀👍
Thank you for watching hope you having a great day , 👍
I’ve used the side of the soldering bolt to heat shrink ever since they became available.. Does the job just fine.
If i am honest I have too when I haven't had a flame available or a hot air gun all works. Thanks for watching
@@FootstepsTyretracks yea I can imagine the comments if you used a soldering iron. Didn’t think about that!!!
@@drinternatg6391 you’re not wrong there 😂

Like the way you differentiate between permanent supply vs. accessories supply at fuse panel. Thanks
Thanks for watching I am glad it was helpful.
Good video but I would have like to see how you run the wire up the A pillar including information about a curtain airbag if it's present
the cable was just eased behind the A pillar trim my car dosen't have an airbag in the A pillar. Thanks for watching
Great vid buddy keep up the hard work also dont suppose you know a good way to choose which fuse to tap
I went for a fuse that didn't have anything too important, if that makes sense.
Shouldn't you check what the fuse is actually for, before attaching the dash cam wire to something possibly critical?
You are absolutely correct and I did fail to mention that
How are you getting 1 hour parking video when you wired it up to a fuse that has no power after ignition is off?

Any ideas as to why I can’t play recordings? I’m really struggling with the app . Thanks
Ok lets see if I can help you. First question is Android or Apple, or are you removing the card?
What fuse did you use for constant power?

appreciate your reply and video! @@FootstepsTyretracks
Great footage bud thanks.

I had a look and road angel recommend a c10 u3 sd card up to 128 go
@@FootstepsTyretracks Thanks I'll give that a go.
