Every single person asks why Dale takes the scythe when he tries to chat up the girls. He’s nervous. He needs a prop, an emotional support. The scythe gives him something to hold onto. It’s just highly unfortunate for him that he grabbed the Grim Reaper’s weapon of choice. Poor Dale! Where’s an ordinary rake when you need one?

@@chuckh4077 It is. Used to reap a crop. I mean really, the Grim Reaper is just a farmer. But humans, with their pervasive fear of The End, have turned the poor thing (and his tool) into something sinister (hence why I called it a weapon). We fear it, just because it harvests souls instead of wheat. Silly mortals. It would probably help the GR’s reputation if it carried something less painful-looking. Like a rake. But then it would be the Grim Raker, and we’d be afraid of those. No-win situation.
I've cut grass with a sythe. Bloody slow, not particularly useful - they get the job done, but not brilliantly. 😊
also if you notice before that, Dale did have something smaller in his hands that he was holding while talking to Tucker. But Tucker took it out of his hands to keep him from taking with him, so then he found the scythe. :) So he just went from the smaller comfort and support to something more unfortunate.

Dale is played by Tyler Labine. One of the most underappreciated actors in the business. Dude was in a lot of shit ppl forget about. Like when he was in 2 different episodes of “The X Files” in the 90s. He also has a show of his own. A comedy about ghosts. Hes also in a show called “Reaper” that was criminally underrated. He has a cameo in Its Always Sunny too as the father of a kid that steals Charlie and Macs bikes. He punks out Charlie and Mac lol. Hes also gta cameo in “Zack and Miri Make a Porno” dude is hilarious.
Alan Tudyk was in Firefly, Dodgeball as Steve The Pirate and a few others.
I totally forgot about reaper. Loved that show. You’re right so underrated.
He's also the psychologist in New Amsterdam (not sure if it's still on or not). I've seen the show and didn't even realize until I was looking at his IMDB one day. He looks so different cleaned up.
dude was also in “dawn of the planet of the apes”. he got infected and spread the virus outside of the lab.

I got the DVD in one of the extra features is from the college kids perspective, if you watch that track it is actually a horror movie. And that was not paint thinner, it was moonshine in the jars that set the cabin on fire.

@@MidnightHowling Nice lol I was too old in 2005 when that came out. Boy was I obsessed with the OG Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as a kid though. Major's comment made me laugh because I immediately agreed he had that vibe. Might just be subminimal though, maybe saw him in commercials or some other way.

Tucker is played by Alan Tudyk who is on one of my favorite tv shows: Firefly. It's abvout a transport ship that that also took on passengers in a spaceship. Each episode has stories about the passengers. It lasted only one season because Fox kept changing the show times and broadcasting in the wrong order. After fans protested, Fox decided to make a movie to make a conclusion to the series. Since it's only season, I think you'll enjoy the show and the movie.

Walker Texas Ranger, ah the memories of watching that with my dad...
Walker was a Ranger, not a deputy, and he was often shown with his partner as well as other cops. He even received help from criminals in some episodes.
This movie became a cult classic from word of mouth. I remember watching it back when it first came out on Netflix and laughing my ass off through the whole thing.
At the end, I think the concept qas similar to Dale's experience. I think the guy was nervous and came across as creepy. I think he accidentally hit her when he was spinning around after they screamed and it knocked her out.
Of course it could also be that he misunderstood what happened with Dale was legit knocked her out to try to get with her. I like the accidental knock out theory better.
I've watched this movie multiple times and I never noticed, but you're spot on! The black dude looks just like an off-duty Power Ranger! 😂

I have to agree Alaska is probably the most gorgeous state. I’ve never been but really want to go! And the northwestern states I have an affinity for because there’s just so much untouched wilderness. Like you said it makes me want to go survive in the wild! There’s a romance to the wilderness for sure
