I am a 20 year army veteran. I remember how proud I was when I raised my hand and took the oath to defend the constitution against enemies foreign and domestic. As a soldier, I didn’t take off to one man, but to our system of government with its checks and balances.

I think one of the things that adult film actors and really any public-facing people have to give up in the eyes of the community is their personhood. They are far more defined by their public image than by who they actually are. One of the things Stephanie Clifford has raked back for herself, in spite of it all, is her personhood, and while we might judge her for not having come forward sooner about the corruption that she witnessed, I think she's done fairly well to keep her dignity and her personhood intact through it all. It is disappointing to contemplate that the Republican candidate may never face justice for his crimes, but I fear that is how it'll end up.
